Her dainty fingers skimmed through the ocean of books before finally choosing what she wanted to read. "Wuthering Heights. A great classic by Emily Bronte." She mused, taking a seat adjacent to Hector. "I've heard about it from my sister. Tragic piece of fiction."
His words light as he tried to recall where he had dropped off. "It's not tragic, it's honest. Sometimes love isn't meant to be gentle. It can be wild and possibly consume everything that it touches." She clung to the book like a fond memory before diving into it. Hours passed before the two finally had their share.
Hector was long done with his book, given up trying to find where he had stopped and forced to start all over while Ashley kept her gaze on him. Watched his smiles, his frowns and his drools as he fell asleep at times leaving it to her to wake him up. There was an innocent charm that he had about it, something that would have moved a lady who had any form of interest in him.
