Chapter 164 - Chapter 163: Yamato: Mr. Minato, Be My Father!

Minato Namikaze's story was no secret in the chat group. It was practically common knowledge, like how everyone in Konoha knows about the legendary Fourth Hokage.

It wasn't just the original members like Hikari Uchiha and Bulma who knew the details. Even latecomers like Kikyo and Miko Yotsuya had picked up the full scoop through casual chats, including the fact that Minato had a son named Naruto. Bulma and Eri had even visited Konoha a few times and met Naruto in person, probably sharing ramen with him at Ichiraku's.

So when Hikari kicked things off, Bulma and the others jumped in, piecing together the whole story of the Nine-Tails' attack like a team of ninja recounting a mission.

[Nameless: …That's the gist of it.]

[Nameless: Any thoughts?]

A brief pause.

[Brand: I'm not sure what kind of beast the Nine-Tails is, but it sounds like a super-dangerous creature, right? For Mr. EternalBro to stay calm, make quick decisions, and do so much in such a dire situation… that's seriously impressive.]

[TigerOfNishinaka: Yeah, I thought the "soul" tag by Mr. EternalBro's name meant something special, but… you're already gone? Oh, crap, sorry! My grandpa used to talk about people who "die surrounded by those who admire them." That's gotta be you, Mr. Minato!]

[EternalBro: …I just did what I had to. Nothing worth praising. I believe any Hokage—past or future—would've made the same call in that crisis. It's what being Hokage is all about.]

You could tell Minato was a bit embarrassed by all the praise, like Naruto getting flustered when someone calls him a hero.

[EternalBro: Honestly, I'm kinda ashamed. I'm not exactly a model dad. Because of my choices, Naruto had to carry the burden of being a jinchuriki from the start, growing up alone. If it weren't for Miss Hikari's help, he'd probably still be on his own…]

This time, Yamato was the one who reacted the strongest.

**[OniPrincess: Sobs… Please don't say that about yourself!]**

[OniPrincess: I'm so sorry for being rude earlier. I had no idea there was someone as amazing as you out there, just like Lord Oden… Sobs. If I could be your son, that'd be the best thing ever!]

[OniPrincess: Can I… borrow your name to call myself?]

[EternalBro: ?]

[Bulma: Huh?]

[Nameless: Lol.]

On Penglai Island, Hikari Uchiha couldn't help but chuckle, picturing Yamato tearfully reaching out to Minato, begging, "Be my father!" It was like something straight out of a dramatic Naruto episode.

But it made sense. Compared to the weirdos from Wano Country, Minato's charisma was on a whole other level, like the difference between a Kage and a genin. Even if he hadn't done much as a dad, he was leagues above Kaido or Oden. If Minato's fatherly score was a 3 or 4 out of 10, those two were scraping zero—or maybe even negative.

Since Yamato was so moved by Oden's story, hearing Minato's upgraded version hit her even harder, like Naruto hearing about his dad's sacrifice for the first time.

Still…

Comparing Minato to Oden showed Yamato hadn't quite grasped how foolish Oden's actions were. It was a matter of perspective. Being locked up by her dad since she was eight, stuck on an island for years, shaped her worldview in ways a single story couldn't fix. She needed to see more of the world, like Naruto exploring beyond Konoha, to realize her limits and grow.

[EternalBro: Uh, I don't mind you borrowing my name, but… don't you already have one, Miss OniPrincess?]

[OniPrincess: My name's Yamato. If it's okay, you can call me Kozuki… or Namikaze Yamato!]

"…"

Hikari didn't know what to say, like Kakashi caught off-guard by one of Naruto's wild ideas.

Bulma couldn't resist chiming in.

[Bulma: It's not just Mr. Minato. Miss Kikyo's story is super touching too. And Hikari—despite being sealed underground for over a hundred years, she's still so upbeat and helps everyone!]

[Nameless: Wait, me?]

My story too?

Next, Bulma started sharing Kikyo's tale. She'd been hanging out in the Inuyasha world for the past couple of months, spending every day with Kikyo. She probably knew more about her than Hikari, who'd only read the Inuyasha manga.

Eri, from the Dragon world, jumped in, sharing a clip from 50 years ago when Kikyo was betrayed by Naraku and burned with the Shikon Jewel, vanishing. She uploaded it to the group, like Iruka showing old mission footage to his students.

Yamato's crying got even louder. Who knows if she was already planning to borrow Kikyo's name next…

As for Hikari…

Compared to Minato or Kikyo, her story wasn't as complex. Since she didn't appear in the 2009 Naruto manga, even Bulma and Eri only knew the basics.

But when it came to Hikari's strength? Oh, there was plenty to say.

Especially her battles alongside Kikyo, taking down Naraku and the Bone Demon. Those fights were livestreamed in the group, and the recordings were still there, like old mission scrolls in the Hokage's archives.

The newbies were floored.

[Brand: Ninjutsu, Susanoo, barrier techniques… Miss Hikari's world has so many incredible abilities! And she's not even 15, right? Younger than Akame…]

[TigerOfNishinaka: So strong! She's like my teacher, Satoru Gojo!]

[OniPrincess: Amazing! But Mr. Minato's gotta be that strong too, right?]

[EternalBro: …We've never fought, but I doubt I'd beat Miss Hikari. At best, I could hold my own with Flying Thunder God. Her strength is already top-tier in our world.]

Amid the flurry of messages, Hikari caught a name Brand mentioned.

—Akame.

In Akame ga Kill!, it's unclear how long it took Brand to join the Revolutionary Army after defecting, or what he did there. But if he knew Akame, he was likely already part of Night Raid.

Hikari thought for a moment before typing.

[Nameless@Brand: Mr. Brand, can I ask you something?]

[Brand: Sure?]

[Nameless: Do you know someone named Tazmi?]

And…

[Nameless@TigerOfNishinaka: Yuji, one more question. How many fingers have you… eaten so far?]
