Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Pretty Girl Dress-Up Play

When she said "various countries," Uchiha Hikari really had her sights set on China.

At this point in time, three Dragon Kings should either be awake or on the verge of waking up there—

Fenrir and Xia Mi, lurking beneath the BJ subway station.

And Constantine, hidden in the Bronze City under the Three Gorges.

The Bronze City might be tricky to find since it's submerged underwater and requires the blood of a "key" to unlock. Fenrir's location, though, is crystal clear: right under the sealed-off platform at the end of Line 1.

The only hitch is that Hikari isn't a Dragonblood of this world, so she might not be able to enter Nibelungen…

But if she remembers right, there's a hidden way to access Fenrir's Nibelungen by repeatedly swiping a transit card to ride the subway. In the original story, Fingel pulled it off once, though it took a lot of time.

Also…

If she had some spare time, maybe she'd swing by that coastal southern city where Lu Mingfei lives.

Hikari didn't care much about that unlucky kid.

But Lu Mingze? Now he could be a great trading partner. Even if it's just swapping for some Dragon World cash, that'd be enough for her to buy anything she wants in this world…

"Sounds simple enough," Chikao Genji nodded, speaking with the confidence of a dragon.

"Miss Hikari, someone will come by later to take photos for your residency papers and passport. Please cooperate with them…"

"Sure."

With that settled, Hikari resealed the Dragonbone Essence's remains into a scroll. She casually injected a wisp of chakra into Chikao's body and shared the unsealing technique with him.

"So this is the sealing jutsu they talk about in Naruto…" Chikao muttered, surprised. He couldn't quite figure out which Word Spirit category this technique fell under, so he just scratched his head. "Don't worry, I'll get the scroll back to you as soon as possible…"

"Keep it," Hikari waved dismissively.

Sealing scrolls aren't cheap, sure, but only compared to regular ninja tools. Next to the lab equipment from the Naruto world, they're just basic consumables. Giving away a few didn't faze her.

If the Genji clan could actually reverse-engineer sealing jutsu from one scroll, she'd be kind of impressed.

On the other side, Chikao tucked the scroll away like it was a priceless treasure.

The Dragon World's Word Spirit abilities are all over the place, but spatial techniques are rare. The ability to seal something huge into a tiny scroll screamed "Nibelungen" vibes. If the Genji clan could glean even a hint of dragon secrets from it, it'd be a massive win.

"Oh, by the way, Miss Hikari," Chikao paused, remembering something. "I recently visited my younger brother. We haven't talked much yet, but I'm really grateful you gave me the chance to see him again after all these years."

"Hm."

Hikari gave a noncommittal nod.

To her, the Genji brothers' relationship was as messy as some of the love-hate bonds in the Naruto world.

In theory, she could use "Yasaka Magatama" to untangle their issues, but messing with people's hearts like that was a line she'd rather not cross too often. If Chikao's brother couldn't move past it on his own, then she'd reconsider.

Chikao left the room.

Only then did Hikari stretch lazily, glancing at Erii nearby. The girl had already fired up the gaming console, set up two controllers, and was looking at her with those big, hopeful eyes, practically sparkling with anticipation.

"Wanna play a game, Hikari?" Erii held up her little notebook.

"Let's do it!"

Hikari plopped down in front of the TV, grabbing the spare controller.

…

That afternoon, the Genji clan sent two photographers to take some pictures of Hikari.

Since different documents would be processed at different times and seasons, the female stylist, with Hikari's permission, gave her a few different looks:

Long black hair, hime cut, bun, twin tails…

The outfits ranged from a JK school uniform to a kimono, a T-shirt with a cashmere sweater, and even a miko shrine maiden outfit.

Hikari's body was naturally stunning, and with a little styling, she radiated beauty. Yet, there was this commanding, almost domineering aura about her that shone through even in the plainest clothes. The stylist's eyes lit up, and she couldn't help but ask if Hikari had ever considered doing a photoshoot.

What, with a tagline like "The White Dragon Beauty of Three Thousand Years"?

Hikari flat-out refused the photoshoot idea but added, "Make sure to give me a set of these photos when they're printed."

Erii raised her notebook: "Erii wants a set too."

"?"

After an afternoon of "pretty girl dress-up play," Hikari changed back into her usual clothes, and the photographers packed up, satisfied.

Then, someone from the Genji clan asked about her preferences for her identity details.

The name "Uchiha" was a bit too out there for the real world—like a Chinese person naming themselves "Calabash Brother." Plus, creating a full fake identity meant sorting out parents, hometown, education history, and so on. The Genji clan was worried about accidentally including something that might offend this "White King lady."

Hikari didn't care much.

"Just handle it. Don't make it too ridiculous."

"…Alright."

…

Over the next few days, the Genji clan started delivering some of the easier-to-source lab equipment to Genji Heavy Industries.

Hikari gave them a quick once-over, told them to wipe off any brand logos or origins, and then took the gear back to the Sound Village.

"Lady Hikari, this equipment is…?" Orochimaru asked.

"Picked it up," she said flatly.

Orochimaru: "…"

Hikari knew the excuse was flimsy.

But she just needed to make it clear she wasn't explaining. Orochimaru, being the sharp guy he is, knew better than to push. If he proved his worth and loyalty enough…

She might just consider taking him to see other worlds—within limits.

"Here's the manual," she said, handing it over. "Check it out. Jot down any questions, and I'll answer when I have time."
