"I hope you understand the damage your tainted reputation is doing to us all," Leah said, pouring tea into a cup before her. "Your colleague… What was her name again? Anna? Bella?"
Selina took a desperate step forward, her face twisted with terrifying concern. "You mean Annabelle? What did you do to her?"
The sweet, floral aroma of the yellow tea filled the room, but the scent did nothing to ease Selina's rising panic.
Leah looked up grimly. "She acted violently against a staff member."
"You forced her out?" Indignation bubbled in Selina's voice.
Leah shook her head. "She chose reckless pride over survival. You see what these notoriety of yours are doing? It could diminish your chances at the fashion event too."
"It's not my scandal; it's a frame-up," Selina corrected, her tone cold. "I don't know that man."
