After a short drive from the gate, Rowan pulled over, and Selina stepped out as he signalled her to go ahead.
As Selina entered the house, she noticed that Leah and Elder Gilbert were eagerly awaiting Rowan in the living room, not her.
This was her first time in the past eight years to engage in a conversation with her grandfather.
"Good afternoon, Elder Gilbert," Selina greeted with a slight bow.
"Where's Rowan Owen?" Elder Gilbert asked instead, glancing behind Selina.
Rowan Owen was known to be a multi-billionaire and the overseer of the Owen Conglomerate, one of the top two companies in the world. Many companies were vying for his attention as an investor.
"I've been trying to reach him for a while, but it's an honour to see him," Leah remarked, though her expression shifted instantly upon realising he wasn't entering with her.
Selina pressed her lips into a thin line, observing how they disregard her presence.
