"Big brother, sister-in-law, bring the two kids over!"
The eldest brother and his wife each carried one child and moved a bit closer to Freya.
Kids fighting only results in surface wounds. Even though she was just watching the show earlier, she still kept an eye on things. No one hit any critical areas, otherwise she definitely would've stepped in.
She then looked over at the two snot-nosed brats crying not far away and crooked her finger coldly:
"Zheni, Daya, get over here!"
"Waaah, no! Mom, help me!" Zheni shouted loudly.
"You evil woman, I'm not going over there, sob sob sob…" Daya hid behind Zheni.
Smack smack! Each got two lashes. Won't kill them, but definitely painful for little kids.
"Say one more bad thing about me and see what happens. Get over here, or else…" Freya raised the whip in her hand, full of menace.
Seeing no one would help them, the two kids had no choice but to slowly and shakily walk over to Freya and the others.
"Alright, however they hit you two earlier, you hit them back the same way," Freya calmly told the twins and Cali.
"This isn't right, Freya, they're just kids.
I think we should let it go. We're all family, no need to make such a big deal out of it," Brother Sheng said, a bit troubled, looking at Zheni and Daya.
His wife had only managed to have the twins all these years. Maybe one day they'd need Zheni to support their daughter, or carry the fire basin for them.
"Yes, let's just drop it, Freya. Kids fight all the time, and the injuries aren't serious.
And Zheni is our only grandson. If something happens to him, we can't take that risk," Sister Lan said while holding the two obedient kids. Seeing her husband speak up, she had no choice but to agree, her honest, simple face full of helplessness.
It's her own fault for not being able to have more children. Otherwise, she wouldn't have to keep tolerating everything and never be able to lift her head.
"Zhad, Lai, do you want to hit back after being bullied?" Freya rolled her eyes and ignored the cowardly couple.
She softened her tone as she asked the two skinny little sprouts. Their necks looked so thin she was afraid their heads might fall off.
"Freya, they're just kids. They don't know anything, no need to ask," Brother Sheng said with a bitter face.
"Shut up." Freya didn't even want to look at him. If someone in her team acted like this useless softie, she'd have whipped them dozens of times to wake them up.
Though Zhad and Lai were young, they were quite mature. Seeing their parents' miserable expressions, they both shook their heads and lowered their eyes.
"Fine, I'll respect your decision." Freya nodded casually. You can't force a cow to drink water by shoving its head down. She wasn't about to waste her effort on something thankless.
This couple was truly clueless. If they never fought back, they were just asking to be bullied forever.
Forget it. If it weren't for Brian, she wouldn't even bother interfering in others' family drama. Watching the show was more fun.

It wasn't really about making the girls hit back. It was about attitude. Let the kids know there are adults who'll stand up for them. But from past experience, this couple just couldn't be relied on.
Sister Lan's eyes flickered after hearing Brian's words, but in the end, she lowered her head and said nothing.
Behind Freya, Cali seemed to be deep in thought, then suddenly rushed forward and started kicking and punching Zheni and Daya.

He gave a quick glance at the two dirty little brats and ignored them, swaggering over to Freya and Brian. With a sleazy tone, he said:

I heard you're divorcing Brian?
Your little brother here is now disabled and useless, want to consider marrying me instead?
That 1000 yuan of yours can be your dowry!
If you agree, I'll divorce Sister Fang right now, how about it?"
