Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Call The Doctor

"Oh really? And you were trying to touch what isn't yours," Amelia said, laughing. Maya joined her. They became quiet when they heard a knock on the door.

"Good morning, my lady," Omega greeted with a smile.

"Good morning, Omega," she replied.

"How was your night?" Omega asked.

"Pretty good. Thanks for caring," she replied.

"Yeah… How are you feeling?" he asked.

"I'm good now. I've already told Maya that I'm okay," she replied with a smile. Maya was already out of her bedroom.

"Please don't tell him what happened," she mumbled softly.

"Alright. I'm sorry about last night," he said apologetically.

"It's okay. It's not a new thing," she said. He bowed his head and left her room.

"Does it mean that Saanvi has been doing this for a long time and she's been quiet?" Omega thought to himself.

Omega was in his bedroom when the king called him on the phone.

"Tell Amelia to have dinner with Saanvi," Henderson said.

Omega couldn't bring himself to tell the king what had happened last night. He prayed silently that such an incident wouldn't happen again.

"Alright, my King," he said. Henderson hung up. Omega went to Amelia's room to deliver the king's message, but she wasn't there. Maya was the only one in the room, so he told her what the king said and left.

Amelia, who was in the bathroom taking her bath, came out and asked, "Who was that?" because she heard someone knocking.

"It was the king's personal guard," Maya replied with a smile. Amelia looked at her and returned the smile.

"What did he say? What's the message about?" Amelia asked, staring at her as she walked to the closet.

"The king wants you to have your breakfast in the dining room—with Saanvi," Maya said and sighed.

"What? That's not possible," Amelia said.

"It's the king's order… I don't want you to get punished," Maya said.

"Why would he ask me to go to the dining room now? Meanwhile, he didn't let me go there when he was around. What if Saanvi does the same thing again?"

"Maya is here talking about punishment. I've been receiving punishment from him. Now he wants to act like he cares. Like he's a good person."

"This man is just something else," she thought and rolled her eyes. She dressed up and left with her maid. They arrived at the dining room and took a seat. Saanvi chuckled and hissed when she saw her.

"Oh, what a mess. Even a slave is now allowed to come to the dining table," she said and shook her head.

Omega walked into the dining room. He knew the kind of person Saanvi was—always ready to cause trouble. The room was quiet. Amelia ate her food and got up. The other maids cleared and cleaned the table. Omega also left.

Saanvi eyed her and went back to her room.

"The dining room is really beautiful," Maya said.

"Yeahhh…" Amelia replied, walking around the garden.

"It reminds me of—" Maya began, but Amelia cut her off with a look. She knew Maya was about to talk about the palace. She smiled and hugged her.

"I will always love you," Maya said as she hugged her tightly.

"I love you too, baby," Amelia replied with a smile.

"These flowers are beautiful, just like the one who planted them," Maya said. Amelia smiled and spread her arms.

"It's been a while," she said, feeling the natural air. She closed her eyes and smiled.

Later That Day

Everyone was waiting for the king to return, but there was no sign of him. Omega called him, but he wasn't answering. He began to worry and didn't know what to do.

"The king isn't back yet," Maya said worriedly.

"Maybe he's busy with work," Amelia replied and continued writing in her book.

"Aren't you worried about him?" Maya asked, watching her.

"He's fine. I'm not worried. He's a grown man," she replied without looking up.

"He didn't go with the guards."

"He knows how to protect himself," Amelia said.

Maya became quiet and kept staring at her. Amelia still didn't look up.

"My lady…" she called gently.

"Yes!" Amelia finally looked at her.

"Why didn't you look at me while answering the questions I asked about the king?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean you… There's something there. He's fine and no one can touch him," Amelia said, cutting her off.

"Okay…" Maya mumbled.

"Please, no more discussion about the king. I need to concentrate on what I'm writing," Amelia said. Maya nodded in agreement.

7:00 PM

Henderson finally arrived at the palace. Everyone was happy to see him. Omega welcomed him and helped him with his suit.

"You didn't pick up my calls," Omega said.

"I'm sorry. I was busy," Henderson replied.

Omega studied him carefully, trying to see if he was still the same king he knew.

"Tell her to come to my room right now," Henderson said without looking at him. Omega bowed and left.

He went to Amelia's door and knocked. Maya opened it. He walked in and greeted her.

"The king wants to see you right now," he said and left.

Maya looked at her. "I have to go now," Amelia said and began to get dressed.

"In case I don't come back on time… please go to your room," she added.

"What are you doing in his bedroom every night?" Maya asked.

"It's nothing special. Just a few discussions. Nothing else," Amelia stuttered.

"Every night? What kind of discussion?" Maya pressed.

"Maya, please. I don't have time for this," she said and left.

She went to his bedroom. He was standing and waiting for her.

"Strip," he said.

She did as he instructed and laid on the bed. He undressed and joined her, kissing her slowly. He ran his hands over her body, and she shivered with each touch. It wasn't like before. He slowly inserted himself inside her.

"Ouch," she moaned, closing her eyes as he pushed in. She could feel it touch her womb. She shut her eyes tightly.

After they had sex, he got up and dressed. Suddenly, Saanvi walked in without knocking. He turned to her and took the glass of wine from her.

"My lord, you're back," Saanvi said with a smile.

"Yeah. You should learn to knock before coming in," he said.

"I'm sorry. I've missed you. You no longer care about me," she said, glancing toward the bed.

He looked in that direction too. Thankfully, the lights were off—only a candle was burning. Amelia was still lying quietly on the bed. He noticed the look on Saanvi's face, looked away, and took a sip of wine.

"You should leave now. We'll talk later," he said.

Saanvi gave a fake smile and left.

He turned on the lights. Amelia quickly got off the bed and grabbed her nightgown. She began dressing hurriedly.

"Take your time. No one is coming after you," he said calmly.

She looked at him and nodded, dressing slowly. She was still in pain but managed to walk back to her room. He noticed how she was walking, but he didn't say a word. This wasn't his first time with her.

He sat on the couch and sipped his wine. Minutes later, a maid came in and replaced the bed sheets. She left.

Omega walked in.

"What happened to her?" Henderson asked.

"My lord… I don't understand what you're talking about," Omega stammered, bowing his head.

"I told you to take care of her. What happened while I was away?" he yelled.

"Pardon me, my Lord. One of the guards came to me and said Saanvi was fighting with the princess. When I got there, I saw her on the floor. I scolded Saanvi and asked her maid to take her to her room," he explained.

"I'm sorry, my lord," he added.

"Call the doctor," Henderson ordered. Omega took out his phone and dialed her number, but she didn't answer.

Amelia went to her room, took a quick shower, and went to bed. Maya walked in and smiled at her.

"What are you still doing here?" Amelia asked.

"What else? I'm waiting for the princess to get some sleep before I leave. Anyway, I met Saanvi on my way to your room. She didn't say or do anything silly. Maybe because the king is back," Maya said, laughing. Amelia joined her.

"You think it's because the king is back? She'll never change," Amelia said.

Meanwhile

"Hello," Jackie muttered.

"Hi. It's Omega. You need to come to the palace right now," Omega said.

"I'm sorry… I can't come," she replied.

"Please, Jackie. You should understand. I'm sorry—"

"Omega, I can't. I can't leave my husband," she said.

"Give me the phone," Henderson said coldly. Omega quickly handed it to him.
