Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7

Mr. Ollivander began to describe the wand.

"The materials are a tail feather from a particularly ancient Phoenix King bird, and the heartwood of a hundred-year-old elder tree. It is twelve inches long, flexible and springy. It is one of the proudest works of my entire life. I can no longer find such precious materials, nor can I craft a more powerful wand than this."

"I just hope this wand doesn't cause any more accidents," Felix muttered, thoroughly exhausted by the frequent 'surprises.' He no longer had the energy to consider whether the wand was powerful or not, only wanting to end these experiments quickly. Nevertheless, he carefully took the wand.

The moment he took hold of it, every wand in the little shop began to tremble. A marvelous sensation passed from the wand into his hand—it was a feeling of perfect fluency and obedience, as if he could effortlessly cast magic without trying.

Felix gently waved the wand. This time, there were no accidents. The tip of the wand sparkled with a brilliant silver light, and immediately, the trembling of all the other wands ceased.

"Magnificent... truly magnificent!" Ollivander exclaimed loudly. "It is an honor to witness this wand find its master in my lifetime."

Then, he turned to Felix and advised, "Wands with phoenix feather cores are immensely powerful and exceedingly particular about their owners, and the Phoenix King bird is especially so. Elder wood wands are more difficult to master than any other and demand the highest talent from their users. Any wizard capable of wielding an elder wood wand is destined for greatness. For you to become the master of such a wand, you are undoubtedly destined for a legendary future."

As he spoke the last sentence, he glanced towards Dumbledore.

Dumbledore smiled faintly. "My boy, I am delighted you have acquired such a wand. I am beginning to look forward to your performance at Hogwarts."

Felix, satisfied, put away the wand and asked, "So, how much for this wand?"

"No, no charge," Ollivander said, looking at the wand with a touch of reluctance in his refusal. "To see the greatest masterpiece of my life meet its true master is satisfaction enough for me. I hope you will use it well."

Watching Dumbledore and Felix depart, Ollivander murmured to himself, "Wool's Orphanage again, and such a genius... No, a genius even more unbelievable than that person. I hope he doesn't follow in his footsteps, otherwise the wizarding world will be..."

"Next, we need to get you a set of Hogwarts school uniforms," Dumbledore said after they left the wand shop. "Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. That's where we usually go."

Madam Malkin was a short, stout, and smiling witch, dressed all in mauve. "Hogwarts, dear?" she said, before Felix could even speak. "Got the lot here. Oh, hello, Mr. Dumbledore! Are you personally escorting a student today? I didn't notice you at first."

The two exchanged pleasantries with smiles.

Felix noticed another young man emerge from the back of the shop. He was about a head shorter than Felix—due to his constantly improving physique, Felix was usually taller than most his age. The boy wore a drab, old-fashioned black robe that Felix found utterly hideous.

"Excuse me, are those the Hogwarts uniforms?" he asked, gesturing helplessly at the young man.

"Oh, yes, dear," Madam Malkin said, leading Felix to a high stool. "But if you're not satisfied, you can request some lace trim or something... Oh, can you step onto this stool? I need to take your measurements."

Felix was still dissatisfied with the old-fashioned robe. He made an unexpected request: "Can I design my own robes and have them custom-made here?"

"Design your own robes?" Madam Malkin's voice immediately jumped an octave. "No one has ever made such a request! We are professionals here... However, if you absolutely insist, I suppose it's not impossible."

Her voice was much quieter on the last sentence; clearly, Felix's request had hurt her feelings a little, as if her expertise was being slighted.

So, Felix skillfully began to sketch on a piece of paper. It was the uniform of the Mage's Association students from the Type-Moon world, as he remembered it. The hem was slightly shorter than the Hogwarts robes, and the design was much more fashionable, feeling like a product that combined elements of Muggle design. In addition, he drew the accompanying shirt, waistcoat, trousers, and so on.

Dumbledore and Madam Malkin stood curiously behind Felix, wanting to see what he could come up with. As the garments gradually took shape under Felix's proficient hand, their expressions grew increasingly serious.

"I must say, your new student is indeed a genius," Madam Malkin remarked to Dumbledore. "This is not something an ordinary child could design. If he were to become a fashion designer, he could probably earn a fortune in Galleons."

Dumbledore nodded in agreement, feeling much the same. Ever since meeting Felix that day, the boy had brought him one surprise after another.

Finally, after completing the finished illustration, Felix put down his pen. Madam Malkin immediately took the drawing from behind him and began to examine it closely.
