"I don't like if anybody touches me. " I said and Edward nodded, taking a step back. "So when can we start learning? " I asked.
"Huh? " Edward look at me puzzled making me sigh, what is wrong with this guy?
"Swords.. Learn.. Using swords.. " I said while showing him some steps using my imaginary sword which made him come back to the real world from wherever his mind was.
"Yeah.. Swords... Umm why do you want to learn swordsmanship? " He asked.
"Simple, this is a place where anybody can do anything to me and I should be capable of handling every situation. Like what would I do if someday I need to fight a sword bearing assassin. " I said not quite serious but he nodded.
I guess a sword bearing assassin isn't that uncommon here.
"Then why don't you learn archery also, it will also help you. " Said Edward.
"Actually you are right, let's do that! "I said and was about to leave when I remembered we still didn't finalize the timing for my survival classes, yeah that's what I am gonna call it, "survival classes ".
" What will be the timing of my classes then? " I asked.
"We can start from tomorrow morning, right after breakfast. "
"Cool see you tomorrow then. " I said and turned quick on my toes.
Ahh what am I doing? Cool? I should try to start talking like the people here not like I would in my world, I hope nobody finds me weird.

I have been taking classes from Edward since a few days now and he is a great teacher, I never thought I would learn this much.
Nowadays my days are really straightforward wake up, eat , learn , eat,read books , eat and then sleep,strangely my step mother Amelia isn't bothering me much these days, why? I don't know.
Elena is still keeping her distance from me and I must say that is working in her favor and mine also coz I get to live in peace.
Today I am getting ready,with Sasha's help obviously. why? Coz I have been summoned by my father.
I don't know why he has asked to meet me but if I am being honest I would tell you that I am feeling nervous, which is also making me puzzled.
I don't know why but when it comes to father I don't seem to not feel the connection I have with him and it is confusing coz well first of all I am not the real Isla so having affection for father is really weird.
It is as if he is my real father. May be my body still has something left from the previous Isla or there is something else, I won't doubt having a crazy reason behind this coz me being here in this world isn't logical in itself.

I entered my fathers study after knocking and saw him working on his table. I don't know why but some part of me wished if he could look at me with a loving gaze like the parents would look at their children when we used to have any campus events.
"Why are you standing there? Come in and have a seat. " Father said making me come back to world and I quickly sat on one of the chairs in front of his table.
"Father may I know why I am here? " I asked and only then did he take his gaze away from his paper work and looked at me.
"Your mother was saying you are taking classes from Edward, what classes are they? " He asked and I sighed here I thought he wanted to talk to me. In the end it was Amelia who caused this.
"Hmm I am learning swordsmanship and archery from him so that I can be able to protect myself if needed. " I said and then I saw a sudden flash of sadness on father's face.
He cleared his throat before continuing " It is a good thing then. As a Duke's daughter you should learn these things and... " It seemed as if he wanted to say something more but couldn't.
I did want to know what but then I shrugged the need off.
"Thank you father. If there isn't anything else then I will take my leave. " I said and was about to leave when he stopped me.
"Wait, I wanted to ask you something else. " He said and then took an unusual long pause. I looked at him waiting for him to continue.
"Umm you are turning eighteen in three months, what do you want for your birthday? " He asked making me shocked, when was the last time he asked Isla this question, hell when was the last time he talked to Isla this long?
"Uhm.. Uhh whatever you deem fit uhm I don't particularly need anything. " I said and he nodded, resuming his paper work which I took as a cue to leave.

I enterd my room with Sasha behind me and then took the book from my night stand which I had stopped reading earlier.
"My lady why do you seem so quite? " Sasha asked and I looked at her.
"My eighteenth birthday is in three months. "
"That is a good thing my lady, you should be happy about it. " Sasha said with a sudden excitement.
"I am not quite because of that Sasha, I am quite because father asked me if I wanted anything for my birthday. "
"Really my lady? That is even better! I have also noticed from last few days that Lord is starting to show his affection for you." Sasha said with utmost happiness and I just nodded.

After my classes with Edward I was walking in my garden when I heard the noise of my stepmother Amelia's arrival.
Wherever she goes her maids make sure her arrival is announced as if the emperor is about to come.
I turned towards Sasha "why do you think mother would visit us? "
"I think she might not be happy with you getting lessons from Lord Edward. " Sasha said making me smile. She has become observant now, which is a good thing.
"I am afraid you might be right sasha, my mother is here exactly for that reason. "
