Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Unleashed Flames and Overwhelming Power

As Ren lay there, still gasping for air and covered in the aftermath of their fiery escapades, Ignis stood up, brushed the dirt off her knees, and casually booped him on the head with a clawed finger.

> [System: User has been booped. System unsure how to categorize this action. Recommended response: "What the hell was that?"]

Ren blinked, still dazed, trying to process both the aftershocks of their unholy union and the fact that Ignis had just casually booped him.

She looked down at him with a smirk, her glowing eyes twinkling with mischief and something else—a hint of possession, maybe?

> "Don't forget, human," she said with a playful yet dangerous glint in her voice, "I always know where you are. Just call me when you need me."

Then, without another word, she turned, her fiery hair swaying with each step as she walked away, leaving a trail of scorched earth behind her. She disappeared into the distance, leaving Ren staring after her, his heart still racing—not just from the battle, but from her words.

> [System: System confused. Is this romance? Is this fight choreography?]

Ren shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck, and grinned despite himself. "She's definitely got a fire for me..."

But deep down, he knew one thing for sure. Ignis wasn't just any dragon girl. She was something far more dangerous—and he wasn't sure if that was a blessing or a curse.

> [System: Current Buff: Obsessed]

[New Quest: Survive Ignis' Fire and Flirtation]

[Reward: Unlimited Burning Passion]

The world fell silent again—no explosions, no moaning system, no dragon girl grinding him into the ground. Just silence… and a soft southern breeze.

> [System: All combat encounters cleared. Hormonal spikes stabilizing. For now.]

Chuckling to himself, Ren dusted himself off and started walking south, the heat of battle still lingering in his skin but his heart oddly light. The ground beneath him changed from scorched to soft, grassy terrain. He welcomed the change.

The stars above twinkled like they were laughing at him, and honestly, who could blame them?

After a while, he heard it—the gentle flow of water.

He followed the sound until the trees opened into a quiet glade, and there it was: a river, glowing silver under the moonlight. Its waters sparkled, calm and untouched. Fireflies danced lazily above it, and the night air was cool, clean, and laced with the soft chirping of nocturnal insects.

Ren stepped closer, sat down by the edge, and let out a long, tired sigh.

> "Now this is what I call a reward…"

He dipped his hands into the river, splashing his face with cold water, letting it wash away the sweat, the soot, and the scent of dragon-girl heat.

For once, the system didn't say a damn thing.

The night wrapped around him like a soft blanket. Stars stretched across the sky, endless and ancient, and for a few perfect minutes, Ren could forget the monsters, the chaos, and the sheer insanity of earlier.

> [System: Internal Log — User has entered a state of… peace? What the fuck?]

[…System will allow this.]

Ren smirked, laying back in the grass beside the riverbank, hands behind his head, and stared up at the stars.

> "She really said 'just call me' like some magic booty call hotline…"

He chuckled, eyes closing.

> "Crazy dragon girl…"

But he didn't say it like an insult.

He said it like he knew—without a doubt—she'd be back.

And deep down, he already wanted her to.

As Ren lay back, staring at the sky, something strange happened. The familiar chime of the system rang in his mind, interrupting the calm silence he was enjoying.

> [System Alert: Unlocked Skills Detected]

[System Update: Sync Complete with Ignis]

[New Skills Available: 20+]

Ren's eyes shot open. What the hell?

> [System: Congratulations! You've unlocked all of Ignis's abilities during your heated exchanges. But don't worry—you were too busy to notice.]

Ren sat up with a groan, wiping his face with his hands. "Wait… all her skills?"

> [System: Yes. All of them. You've successfully absorbed:

Dragonflame Pulse

Obsidian Scales

Heat Aura

Crimson Wrath (Fully Mastered)

Molten Core

And 15+ others. Some of them might be a little… spicy.]

Ren blinked in shock, his mind trying to process it. "I... I wasn't even trying to unlock all that."

> [System: What's the fun in doing things the normal way? You were a bit… distracted.]

He stared at his status screen, which was now flooded with a list of new skills. His eyes widened as he scrolled through them.

Ren scrolled through the list, his mind reeling. The sheer amount of skills was insane. And he hadn't even noticed them during their earlier… activities.

> [System: That's the thing with being busy in the heat of battle… or the heat of something else. But hey, at least you've got more firepower now.]

Ren's face flushed, realizing just how much he'd unlocked in such a short time. I didn't even realize I was getting that much from her.

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I guess that's the advantage of having a dragon-girl burn me into oblivion."

> [System: No, the advantage is you now have 20+ powerful skills. And that dragon girl is still out there, probably still thinking about you.]

Ren chuckled, glancing at the river. "Well, Ignis… you really did leave me with a lot to handle." He smirked, feeling a strange mixture of pride and nervous anticipation. "Let's see what kind of firepower I can handle now."
