Chapter 6 - Anticlimactic

For a month, rumors had been spreading about the existence of a demon east of the Verdant Forest, but since only one village had been destroyed and no such creature had ever appeared again, most of the Xylians did not believe it was true.

However, the following month, the demon returned, proving to be real and not something people had invented. The demon attacked one village a day, coming from the east of the forest and gradually approaching the central area of the planet.

The king learned of this unusual situation, so he ordered some of the city lords to leave their cities to search for and eliminate this bloodthirsty demon.

One day, shocking news arrived to those who lived in the kingdom and nearby cities: one of the city lords had died.

Those who were the pinnacle of strength of their race, those who had a position only below the king, even they were unable to resist that demon?

But along with this news came another: after the death of that city lord, a second one faced the demon head on and forced him to flee in fear.

A bitter relief had taken over everyone, who still felt insecure about the fact that the demon was still alive, but confident that if he were the king, he could deal with this problem if he appeared again.

A few days without attacks on villages were enough for most of them to believe the recent news.

...

In the center of the kingdom, where thousands of Xylians lived, there was a large palace, the imposing-looking place was made of polished stone, something much more exquisite than the buildings of villages and cities scattered across the planet.

In one of the countless rooms of the palace sat the king of the planet, wearing a golden robe. His skin was a ruby red color, much more vivid than the other Xylians.

He was sitting on his throne, next to him, his enormous sword was resting against the throne. The large hall was quite empty, but it was still luxurious by the planet's standards.

In front of him, there was a pair of Xylians, both wearing blue robes, they were on one knee on the floor, while bowing their heads.

"My king, we have no new appearances of the demon, it seems he really is hiding" One of them said, his tone respectful.

The Xylian on the throne gave a slight nod "That despicable being must be hiding in fear somewhere in the Verdant Forest, the lords of the villages near the region must keep an eye out and keep us informed"

The other in the blue robe raised his face a little, enough to look into his king's eyes "My lord, most of the nearby villages have been exterminated, many others have evacuated that area, for fear of the demon... Perhaps the best thing would be to form a group to hunt this demon in the forest, to exterminate it before it attacks once more"

On the throne, the king ran his sharp fingernail across his face, while making a contemplative expression.

After a few seconds, he said "I had an idea. Instead of the event I had planned for three months from now, let's combine business with pleasure. Tell everyone, whoever brings the devil's head will be able to marry my daughter"

The Xylian who spoke first had a worried expression "My lord, are you sure this is a good idea? The demon may have fled, but that was after he killed a city leader and faced a second. If we spread your idea, there will be many young people trying their luck, but it will only lead to their deaths"

"This information has already spread, so if they still decide to try their luck, the only ones to blame will be themselves" The king said, not caring about the inevitable deaths of the daring youngsters.

Not daring to question a second time, that city leader remained silent, thinking about how much trouble this would end up causing. It was as if he was being given the mission to take the young people to a slaughterhouse.

"Alright, my lord..." His bitter tone was obvious.

...

As the king's message spread across the planet, countless Xylians sped towards the Verdant Forest, with a primary focus on its east.

Unlike villages, when they were attacked, information about what happened quickly spread, since they were the ones entering the forest to look for the demon, their deaths went unnoticed.

As soon as the demon was spotted, their deaths were already just ahead, and without long-distance communication technology, even if they had the chance to stay alive for a few extra seconds, the most they could do was scream, hoping that someone nearby would hear them.

Hundreds of Xylians tried their luck, but none saw the demon and returned alive. The forest was very vast, so many of them ended up never finding their target, and ended up deciding to return to their homes.

Since no one returned after encountering the demon, some assumed that they were still searching the forest. Over time, this began to be questionable; some had already been missing for over a month, so many began to suspect that there were several dead.

With two months having passed since the demon's escape, the number of brave souls entering the forest had sharply decreased, only those with the strength of a village leader and above ventured forth.

Some of the city leaders also began to search the forest, especially the younger ones, who, even though they were approaching the middle life of their race, were still interested in marrying the young princess.

The position of king was not hereditary, so marriage to the princess was not something that would make them king in the future, but it would still raise their status as long as the king remained the same.

There were also those who only had a genuine interest in having the princess as their wife, but they were in the minority among those truly powerful.

...

Radissa was wearing a blue cloak, which was covered in blood stains, underneath was still her armor and her torn clothes.

With force on her feet, she crushed the head of a dead Xylian, blowing it to pieces "I've fully healed, time to kill that bastard and leave this shitty planet!"

She had one more Zenkai, and if before she could already kill that Xylian if she was rested, now she could crush him without difficulty.

The hundreds of Xylians that had hunted her these past few months were no challenge to her, and she killed each and every one of them without even breaking a sweat.

After all, when they first started to emerge, she was already in a much better state than she was during her defeat, and without the combined strength of some powerful people, she would have no trouble dealing with it.

Full of determination in her gaze, Radissa took off and flew, she was once again leaving the Verdant forest, this time she would only return when it was time to take her ship and leave for another planet.

Flying at extreme speed, she said to herself "I won't go directly to him, I'll make him afraid to meet me, make him pay for putting me through so much humiliation!"

...

The demon had returned, not only that, but now every day a town was attacked. Unlike usual, where only a few fled from the attacked villages, this time there were barely any casualties.

Was this an act of mercy from the demon? No, all the cities that were attacked understood, it was a show of strength. The demon attacked and killed the leader of the city in front of everyone, he did it so easily that people questioned the veracity of the information that they had somehow made this being flee.

Soon half the cities were without their leaders, and the people cried out for the king's assistance.

...

In the kingdom, within the palace, the king sat on his throne, his eyes were focused on the small figure before him, who had appeared just an instant ago.

"So you're the king they talk about so much? You don't seem any different from everyone else, even if you're a little stronger... If it were before, we'd have a tough fight, you'd win if anyone else intervened, but right now your chances are slim" Radissa said calmly as she walked down the red carpet.

The king gave her an angry look, especially when he saw her cloak, which was once blue, had taken on a blood red color.

"You killed my people and you still dare to sneak all the way here, to say something so arrogant to me? Even though you are a demon, I expected some intelligence from you" The king said in fury.

Radissa laughed "Honestly, I'm not foolish enough to face your entire race in my current situation, but without half of your strongest members, how many of them would stay close to the king, who theoretically needs no protection?"

Radissa's actions were noticed, so they had obviously reacted, those powerful people who lived in the kingdom were sent to some cities, where she would probably attack next.

They had noticed that she had become stronger, but they still thought that with the help of two or three powerful people, they could kill her. As such, the kingdom that was normally home to dozens of strong Xylians was now understrength.

"You're smarter than I thought, but still..." The king sounded confident, but his words were cut off.

"There were three guards near the palace, it seems you were aware of the possibility of me coming here and you also knew that you alone would be no match for me. Your only mistake is thinking that they are still alive. I came in here without anyone seeing me? Well, no one alive saw me" An evil smile appeared on the girl's small lips.

Hatred and fear surged at the same time in the king's heart, and he unhesitatingly rose from his throne and took hold of his long sword.

He could take out those guards one at a time, but could he do it without alerting anyone? He wasn't sure, but that was enough to tell him he was in a sticky situation.

...

The city leader who made Radissa have to flee was standing next to another powerful Xylian warrior, both of them talking.

"I knew this would be a bad idea, the king should have personally gone to hunt the demon. I said, even though he ran away from me, that demon still broke my sword, it was obvious that once he recovered he would be able to deal with the city leaders" He said.

The other Xylian with him gave him a curious look "Tell me one thing, being the only one who managed to face this demon, what do you think of him against our king?"

"Well, that demon was tired and injured when I encountered him, so I don't know exactly how much strength he would have in his peak state, but if I were to bet on an outcome in this fight, it would be that our king..." His words stopped midway, as the sound of something falling and rolling rang out.

Between the two red-skinned aliens, there was a severed head, they recognized that head at the same time and shouted in unison "King!!?"

"I think it's too late to bet, the result is somewhat disappointing" A familiar voice sounded from above.

With dread taking over their bodies, they both looked up, only to see that small, vile creature, who was wearing part of the golden cloak that belonged to the king.

"Do you like my new outfit? My old one stank of blood, so I got a new one. Do you think gold would suit me?" Her casual words contrasted with the message behind them.

Her body slowly descended from the air, until her feet finally touched the ground, then she pointed at that Xylian, the one she came for "I told you I would come to kill you, even if you helped me evolve, making me save months or even years of training, promises need to be kept"

The two of them were trembling involuntarily, their king, the strongest being on this entire planet, was just a lifeless head before them, the demon who did this seemed unharmed, what were the chances of them getting out of there alive?

Fighting was suicide, so perhaps running away was the best option, even if it was unlikely to work it still seemed like a greater possibility than fighting.

Radissa shook her head and laughed wryly "I won't gain anything by facing a bunch of weaklings, so I'll leave this planet today, I just came to fulfill my promise and leave" Her words were obviously directed at the other Xylian.

At that moment, they both looked at each other, they had understood exactly what was going to happen.

"I understand, maybe you can let me..." He was about to make a request to the little demon, but his sentence was left halfway.

The other Xylian looked in astonishment at his colleague, who with an explosion had his head disintegrated.

Radissa's open palm slowly descended, returning to its natural position "I was almost forgiving him in my heart, but making requests in a situation like this?! Did he think I was some kind of saint?"

Slowly she left the ground, floating a few inches "You should elect a new king, or whatever you want for the future of your people. I'm going to leave this boring planet, pray that I don't come back here"

After saying this, the little girl left once more, returning for the last time to the Verdant Forest, to finally leave the planet Xylos.

{ Author's note: I wanted these first chapters to be quick, being a small introduction, I don't know how much better it would be if I went deeper into this mini arc.

I don't know if I could create something very captivating and engaging. I chose not to try to write something long initially, because I feel like many readers expect to see more elements of the original work.

If I tried to flesh out this planet, give each Xylian a name and personality, give weight to their deaths and all that, it would take me too long to really get into the original story.

Anyway, it's done, good or bad, the intro arc has ended. Now I need to decide between going to Earth, or having Radissa join Vegeta's group. In both cases, there will be a time skip.

If Radissa goes to Earth, she won't have any challenges until Raditz arrives, in that case I would have to focus on other points besides the fights, it would be a time skip rain.

So the best option would be to join Vegeta's group, her strength is already comparable to that of an adult Raditz, but she could still evolve a lot if she trained with Nappa and especially with Vegeta. Whether with friendly training or invading new planets, she would always have challenges.

I'll spend a few days thinking about this, I can also read your opinions if you're willing to comment.

And from this decision, I will try to maintain a frequency of 2 chapters per week. Most of these first 6 chapters were already written in Portuguese, so I was able to post them quickly, but now they will all be new, so my frequency will be that. }
