"I choose," Noa trailed his words, grinning. "Fidget Spinners."

"Then we are done here, right? I can just go back to Earth with no problems?"

Hearing the robotic voice, Noa touched the hovering transparent panel of the system and embraced the shift in his vision. The dark color held his being as if transforming him through dimensional tunnels.
A moment later, Noa snapped open his eyes. The view he saw was familiar—the same bus stop the dog peed on his legs only a week ago.
"I am back," he murmured inwardly.
Teleportation brought no discomfort, and Noa felt as though he had never left his home planet.

'Only two more missions and I am safe,' Noa thought after browsing through the system, his heart beating in excitement.
It seemed like the spirit coins he owned didn't count for his capital. His accumulated wealth didn't count as monthly income either, since it had only been a week since he gained this power.
Finally, Noa located the Argus Bank and walked inside, where the bustling atmosphere forced him to join the long line.
Thankfully, he didn't have to spend too much of his time waiting—the petite young receptionist called him forward.
"I am here to pay my debts."
He took his designated seat and told her right away. The woman didn't show much of a reaction and asked for his ID card. An entire procedure took one minute before she nodded.
"You owe $15,500. It's good that you decided to pay this early—if not, the amount would have increased," she explained kindly, then asked Noa how he intended to pay.
'System, as my private accountant, it's your turn to shine,' Noa said to the system.

Noa didn't try to argue.

Meanwhile, the accountant waited silently for Noa to hand over his card. After taking it from him, she offered a warm smile and asked, "Paying... all of it?"
Her voice carried emptiness. She was used to the people who usually begged for extensions, not settling everything in one go.
Yet when Noa simply nodded, she straightened up and said, "Very well, sir. Processing now."
Then she inserted the card and glanced at the screen.
"Transaction approved," she said more softly, as she handed back the card. "Is there anything else I may assist you with, sir?"
Shaking his head, Noa stood up and left the building. He was still standing inside the mall, surrounded by shops of luxurious brands.
However, the zeros were gone from his bank account, leaving him with a measly $200. 'I'm poor again,' he thought.
So he looked at the system notification.

Now he had some capital to start his shopping spree. But more than that, Noa was proud and happy that he completed the third mission. He had only one remaining, and his fear of losing his life—or something even greater—would soon fade away.
His next destination was to spend his newfound money.
Not for himself, but for his remaining family members, he longed to reunite one day. Yet Noa lacked the confidence to face them.
He felt powerless, even if he had money and the means to make more.
The shame of disappointing them and the fear of being a failure as a son and a brother didn't allow him to meet with them.
But with the system's help, Noa was sure he could change himself and be proud of who he was.
Also, he had to finish the main missions and get used to the weird situation he found himself in.
Until then, Noa would help them from the sidelines. For starters, he visited an electronics store and bought one of the largest TVs available. Giving father's address and a note to pass on, Noa felt satisfied with his first purchase.
It was a great beginning for his new spending habit. But choosing something for his 17-year-old little sister was bound to be much harder.
Especially with $1,500 remaining in his bank account and countless luxury brands around him.
