The rays of the sunset over the hills surrounding the twin kingdom glowed with an orange-like light that gave warmth to the hearts of those watching. Within the walls of the palace, Prince Edmon was still at it, but unlike before, he barely went out. He stayed indoors so much that even his mother grew suspicious.
The never-ending trail of meetings, walks, and project signings had finally settled down for the day, and Queen Elana couldn't wait to be back in the comfort of her bed. Her body ached, and worse, her legs were sore from walking so much, but the thought of her son hatching something behind her back refused to leave her mind. Skeptical, the queen turned to the servants.
"We head for the prince's quarters," she ordered, and the servants bowed, then nodded.
"Yes, my Queen," they all chorused.
