Ratchet opened up his optics as he looked around seeing that he was in some sort of large area that had the smell of decomposing humans and Cybertronians as he saw that was he nearly falling off the edge of an broken road as he got himself up and sat up. His blue optics looked around seeing that he was in a city with red grass, broken buildings, blood splattered on the floor and while there were corpses seen across the area there was nobody alive around here. He looked at himself seeing that his arm was now ripped off, one of his optics was flickering, he could feel his face was scratched and had a huge scar while his chest had a diagonal scar. Did Starscream's attack leave him like this? He wondered as he chose to move forward and went to find anyone else who could possibly be around this eerie mix of Cybertronian and human area. He moved through the glossy floors until he heard some of loud sound nearby which he heard and which caught his attention immediately and started to run as quickly as he could but found no-one nearby which made him say "Huh. Not the weirdest thing I've experienced but I can't find any Autobots or survivors around here." Now that he thought about it, why was the area bloody in the first place? He had seen broken battlefields, human hospitals but this took it to an extreme. There was scattered bones, smashed up organs, some of the red grass was dug up to put stuffed animal fur, Cybertronian bodies were hanging from streetlights and even other things like trees with their wires coming out of their open chests and limbs wrapping around the parts of objects. It was very dark around here with little to no stars in the area, as Ratchet had this image in his own mind.
Ratchet heard someone's voice nearby as he turned his head to it. There was someone far away from him who was calling for help as Ratchet saw they got closer to him. He saw that they were injured but what surprised him was their appearance that looked incredibly familiar. The mech were blue, gold and grey with his optics a darker shade of blue than many other Autobots. The part of his wings were damaged, completely rusted which made him unable to fly. His arms had cracked and broken shoulder plates as he was much, much taller than Ratchet. His armour was bulky and had white patterns of Cybertronian language. He had a broken stone halo floating around his head and he had burn scars on his faceplate, making a sort of zig-zag that separated his grey faceplate from the purple scar. His chest had blast marks, his neck looked the most injured with energon staining it and so many wires and circuits seen in the hole. Broken diamonds-shaped energon crystals were on his arms as Ratchet recognised him as Nexus Prime and looked gobsmacked to see him. He stuttered out "N-Nexus?" As Nexus soon replied with "I had hoped things did not go this way after my own death." As Nexus looked with a grimace on his face. Ratchet wondered why Nexus was here of all places and not where sparks would go and get extinguished to peace. Nexus prime turned to look at the dead Cybertronians as he was upset at the carnage that happened, his fists clenching for a moment.
"I thought that my spark would end up somewhere I would finally get rest. Turns out I ended up in a place close to the pits!" Nexus said as he calmed himself downwards "I don't get angry to the point where I am furious but this just is unfair in a way I can't imagine." He apologised and continued with "Well, what's your name Medic?" Ratchet put his arm across his chest and straightened himself up "Call me Ratchet, chief medic of the Autobots." Nexus nodded at that as he looked around the area as Ratchet now questioned "So now, where are we exactly?" Nexus for once looked uncertain and said "Not even me as a Prime knows this. I don't know this location." Ratchet looked at the human-designed roads that were under his pedes and saw that most of the short white lines were faded out. One of the streetlights was faded out and seemed to flicker slightly as Nexus did not recognise the human technology but seemed to noticed the area was not supposed to be this way. Nexus stated, "Follow me Ratchet. I have a suspicion that our spark ended up in a place they shouldn't be at." Ratchet questioned "Could any enemies be around here?" Nexus seemed a little tense at that question and answered "I hope not, the last we need to get attacked." And they started to walk quickly through the damaged roads, Ratchet couldn't help but notice it was starting get foggy.
Soon they ended up going through the misty area as Nexus soon turned on his headlights. "Can you see me?" Ratchet sighed in relief and was about to move his other arm which he forgot he didn't have one and it hurt him greatly. "Yeah. thank Primus for that." He answered that question as they both moved through the misty area, with warm blood sticking to Ratchet's pedes and making him jump slightly as they moved through combined areas of human shops and houses with Cybertronian buildings as they heard some sort of radio noises nearby. Ratchet instantly stopped along with Nexus "Those sound like those Cybertronian beeping noises made from signals." Ratchet shook his head and firmly responded with "No these sound more like human radio waves rather than Cybertronian signals." Ratchet immediately entered the building as Nexus began to rush after him, "Ratchet! Don't rush too quickly, I can't keep up." As Ratchet rolled his own optics at him. They saw that there was some sort of radio device that looked like a human one. Nexus looked curiously while Ratchet more adjusted to earth's technology began trying to adjust it. Soon he managed to get something out of it. A sort of conservation?
"She's been... Ugh, burnt from the waist up?" A female voice asked in disgust as there seemed to be some sort conservation going on there. "Yeah, most of her skin peeled off from the fire. Everyone in the neighbourhood had heard her shriek loudly. It had went for a hour and some were seen in shock after everything that happened." A male voice replied and the female continued to ask "How bad are her burns?" And he responded to the question with "Mostly 2nd-degree to 3rd-degree burns. 4th-degree burns has mostly been seen around her legs. She's luckily recovering and can interact normally despite her disfigured state." As the woman was heard sighing in relief said "Thank the Lord for that. I seen some burn victims that are burnt to a way I cannot imagine. What did she mention seeing?" There was along pause between them both and the Man answered "She mentioned a black robotic silhouette with red eyes, large wings that have injuries and the rest of the body didn't seem right." The Woman gasped in shock as the radio ended there. The rest was incomprehensible to understand as Nexus looked uneasy and Ratchet was stunned. Ratchet knew who the black silhouette with wings was. Starscream. The fact he did that, made Ratchet feel uncomfortable in a way he could imagine. Nexus didn't know who Starscream was so he looked more uneasy than fearful.
Ratchet soon looked at Nexus before asking "So, turns out we are in a worse situation than we thought we were and wait- what's that outside?" Both of them turned and sounds of shooting started to become extremely clear. It came from the sky as the sound of screaming made Ratchet's audio receptor hurt. Nexus struggled to fly, so he ran out and jumped high up in the air as he went to see who or what exactly was screaming out loud. Ratchet soon spilt off in the other direction as wind gushed through his own faceplate as he ended up seeing somebody on the buildings... The Autobot looked down as his optics glitched out and turned into a bright red colour as he soon landed down with a serious expression and attacked Ratchet who shot back.
Who was this Autobot and why were they attacking him? He fought back as they tried to exploit any weakness they could find from him "You will not attack me like this!" Ratchet yelled as he stabbed him with the medical object he found in his subspace. He just had to go with his own arm didn't he? He glared at them as they fell backwards in surprise and their voice glitched out "You f-fragging piece of scrap! I should tear you apart for this!" And one of their optics became a large X symbol but became back to the normal circular shape. Now that Ratchet looked over them, she turned out to be a bulky dark blue and white femme with little to no femme features. She had wheels on her back, two transparent windows on her chest and had short stubby horns on her helmet. She bared her teeth as her voice continued to come out showing strained and similar to a middle-aged woman "You known what you have done haven't you, hm?" Before running off as Ratchet was frozen there and heard Nexus running to him as he asked "Are you okay?" And Ratchet nodded.
