Chapter 45 - Chapter 11 part 1

Sounds of talking was heard throughout the canteen as the end of day came and everyone else came out. Lili soon said "Finally! That was such a long day!" She said before noticing Arthur nearby who was her friend "Ah there you are, have you heard about the autumn fair?" Arthur looked considerably as he nodded. The autumn fair was a yearly fair that happened around mid-October to early November. "Yeah, I heard about it." He replied remembering what was in it. There was sovereigns, foods, paintings, tattoos, antiques and other things that made people want to come and pay for them. It was a rather famous event around the UK and it was near the forest just outside of their school. "Is it not next week?" Arthur heard as Lili nodded "Yeah, around Saturday 4pm."

"I might be free next week, I just need to ask my father if I can go." Arthur said as Lili soon stated "I can understand that but I hope you can come." Arthur remembered the task that the teacher has set for him. "Huh, I guess I got to go to the B block to collect the books from there. I'll see you around in the park." Arthur soon said as he gave goodbye and walked through the corridors which looked to be cleaned by the janitor. He went outside of the main building and opened the door to the B block which open with a creak. He closed the door behind him and soon went up the stairs. He knocked on class B3 and knocked on the door. "Come in!" A professional but dry voice was heard as Arthur went inside.

His teacher, Mrs Avery looked up from marking papers as she looked at him behind her slightly translucent glasses as Arthur said "Mrs Avery, can I get the books please? Mr Wilson wants those." She sighed as she unlocked the closet door and gave him a whole packet of books as Arthur went out of the classroom trying to not trip and make the books fall on the floor. It took a while to get to room 45 as he was about to knock on the door until he heard someone coming as he turned his head around. He saw Mr Wilson coming his way as the teacher saw him "Ah I was just about to see if you were here."

Mr Wilson looked at Arthur who gave the books to him and he flipped open the pages before nodding "You got what I needed, you can go home now." Arthur nodded with a small smile on his face as he went outside of the school gates. He unchained his bike, put the helmet on his head and began driving across the pavement. He felt the wind blow through his short hair as his eyes looked at the forests nearby. He soon entered the paper as the leaves were starting to fall across the grass but most look to have some healthy leaves. He paused to text Lili as he asked if she was there. She answered with a yes as he sighed in relief and got on his bike again as he went to see if she was on the playground.

He arrived, putting his bike near the yellow railing of the playground as he heard someone calling for him. He saw Lili waving as he pushed the small gate and went through the large amount of people running, being on swings and slides as he saw Lili on a table with a packet of sandwiches, one for herself and one for him. "I got something for both of us. Here, I heard that the food wasn't much for you in the canteen." Arthur thanked Lili as he began taking a cheese and ham sandwich while she took a chicken sandwich as she began eating. "So how did it go?" She asked as he shrugged "It went okay. He just took the books."

"Right, so apart from the autumn fair and well watching the Lego Batman movie in cinema, what do you want to do this week?" Lili questioned as Arthur answered back with "Want to play video games at my house?" Lili nodded with a smile coming on her own face "Why not, I don't have much to do anyways this week. Have do you have?" Arthur soon began answering her "Well I got Resident evil 7, Mario 8 Deluxe and a couple of other games on my computer. I'm waiting for COD: WWII to come out." Lili soon had a idea and her face beamed up "Why not? I think we could use a sleepover for tonight. I'll grab some snacks over."

They finished up their sandwiches as they decided to have a bit of fun in the playground while discussing with each other "Jeez, it can't be that hard to climb up there." Lili stated as she had a amused smirk on her face while Arthur replied from the large climbing wall "I hate heights, you know?" As Lili looked up at the nervous boy who was trying to not fall from there. She soon noticed a letter on their table which looked to have been carried by the wind as she yelled "Hey, Arthur! I think there is something interesting to see." He jumped down, nearly injuring his knees as he went to see what she just found. It looked to be a letter.

She pulled up the letter and it said: Dear Miss Zera, I been pleased to receive your application and I have agreed to study with you. You have concerns over their portfolio and I see that you have been studying their field of work. I assume that you been getting on the right track, although many details are still vague. I hope I can reach you at-

The rest of the letter was cut off "That was kind of it." She finished reading it as Arthur looked with confusion "Who is this Zera?" he inquired as Lili soon voiced her knowledge "I heard of her, she is a detective around this town. She studies murders and crimes as her job." Arthur blinked before saying "That seems interesting. Wait, I got a text from my mother. I think I have to go now." Arthur looked at the time as it was 4:57pm. He went outside grabbing his bike before saying goodbye as he drove off.
