Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Holy Grail Turns Green

As everyone knows, in the Type-Moon universe, whether chaos reigns or not is determined by Gaia and Alaya. These two Counter Forces have been locked in a stalemate on Earth for ages, neither willing to yield to the other. But now, a newcomer has set his sights on both of them.

"Host, forget whether you can even pull this off in such a short time. Even if you could, if you dominate Gaia, aren't you afraid of attracting the attention of that giant spider from Mercury? By then, you won't have this level of power anymore. Not to mention, this world is full of absurdly powerful beings. If you cause too big a disturbance, I'm afraid—" The system couldn't help but warn.

"Are you even awake, System? If I dominate Gaia, do you really think I wouldn't have her distract the spider? Besides, that lazy spider won't wake up until it's time." Takashi Kuroda shook his head. "But you're right about one thing—the transformation time is almost up. I'm not confident I can dominate both Gaia and Alaya in such a short time. Hell, I'm not even sure the Ruination's power can fully subjugate them. Comparing power levels across worlds is already a ridiculous concept—no one can say for sure."

"So what's your plan, Host?" the system asked.

"Simple. If I can't dominate Alaya, I'll just take a few things from the Throne of Heroes it governs. Especially since there's a ready-made tool right here." With a flash, Kuroda appeared in the outer courtyard of the Matou residence. He plunged the Blade of the Ruined King into the ground, flooding the earth with thick, swirling black mist.

"Host, are you trying to—?!" The system immediately realized what Kuroda was doing. The mist and the Ruination's power seeped into the leyline branch beneath the Matou land, completely corrupting and dominating it. But it didn't stop there—the corruption traced back along the leyline, surging toward the main leyline beneath Mount Enzō, where Ryuudou Temple stood.

"That's why I said, System, from the moment I decided to use this card, I'd already planned to end this boring Holy Grail War." Kuroda smirked. Did they really think he'd waste a card just to kill a decrepit old worm? That would be a pathetic way to use the Ruined King's power. Still, given the current gains, Kuroda felt it was a bit of a loss. But considering this was just a timed transformation card, the real priority was exploiting every bug to retain as much power as possible and permanently strengthen himself.

Ding! — "You've seized the Holy Grail War's spoils, the very prize the three great families coveted. With meticulous planning, you've quietly decided the final outcome. The Masters of the Holy Grail War are now nothing but clowns before you—an unseen mastermind, hidden in the shadows, reaping the rewards! Truly, the demeanor of a supreme villain. Reward: 1000 points! Current Villain Points: 3330!"

"Now that's what I call a system." Kuroda gave a mental thumbs-up. He loved how the system always rewarded him so generously.

"The Holy Grail was already tainted by Angra Mainyu. If it's already black, why not throw in some more fuel and turn it green?" With that, Kuroda intensified the output. The endless black mist poured into the earth, fully corrupting and dominating the leylines before flooding into the Greater Grail.

"Hmm?"

At that moment, a certain "All the World's Evil" lurking within the Greater Grail was jolted awake by this foreign power. Across all of human history, Angra Mainyu had never encountered such a terrifying, domineering force—one that seemed utterly alien to this world. The black mist was rapidly assimilating and dominating the corruption within the Greater Grail.

"Who are you?!"

Angra Mainyu never imagined the day would come when his power would be corrupted by another. Shocked, he immediately traced the source of this energy to see who was behind it. Using the Grail's remaining uncorrupted power, he followed the black mist back to its origin—and soon, his gaze fell upon a man shrouded in mist, wearing a jagged green crown.

"What the hell are you?" The moment he saw the man, Angra Mainyu felt a flicker of killing intent. As long as this guy was human, he was confident he could erase him.

"I'm your daddy."

Whoosh—

Angra Mainyu barely had time to process the words before he felt it—speed. Unfathomable speed. By the time he registered the movement, a green blade had already pierced through his body. A monstrous force twisted his form, and in his final moments of consciousness, all that remained was the face of the man looming over him and one burning question:

Since when did I have a father like this?

Not that Angra Mainyu particularly cared about dying. If anything, he found such a powerful being fascinating. For a moment, he didn't even consider that the man's words might just be trash talk. But as his soul dissipated, he'd never get an answer.

Ding! — "You've slain the hidden antagonist of the Holy Grail War—Angra Mainyu, All the World's Evil. Only the victor has the right to sit upon the throne of villainy. Defeat and death render a villain meaningless. Congratulations on your triumph in the battle of villains. Reward: 1000 points. Current Villain Points: 4330."

"So let me get this straight—any high-tier villain or major character nets me a huge point bonus, right?" Kuroda pulled his sword from the black mud, now fully engulfed by his mist. From this moment on, the Greater Grail was saturated with the Ruination's power, marking its complete subjugation under Kuroda's control.

"Correct. However, the reason the reward is so substantial is because you killed the target. Once dead, you can no longer farm points from them repeatedly," the system explained.

"Ohhh, I see. So it's like raising sheep—do you keep shearing them, or do you slaughter them? That's the real question." A glint flashed in Kuroda's eyes as he began strategizing how to maximize his Villain Points for strength.

"Host, I've detected remnants of malice and curses within the Greater Grail. You seem to have deliberately left them intact. What do you plan to use them for?" the system asked.

"Nothing much. Just gonna use this condensed evil to make a little… figurine." Kuroda grinned.

"A figurine?"

"One minute left… I'll use the Ruination's power as a substitute for mana and Angra Mainyu's remains as a catalyst to perform an independent Heroic Spirit summoning—outside the Holy Grail War's system. Let's see how many I can pull." Kuroda didn't use the summoning card the system had given him. After eliminating and dominating Zouken, he'd already learned how to summon Servants from the old worm's memories.

Kuroda began the incantation. With the Ruination's power fueling the Greater Grail, he could summon Servants independently of the war. As the black mist surged, the summoning circle glowed, revealing three petite silhouettes. Then, three voices rang out.

"Heh. To summon a goddess… what an amusing, pitiful mortal. What is your name?"

"I'm Euryale. That's right—'Goddess-sama' to you. Since your life is so short, you'd better make it entertaining for me."

"Lancer-class Servant. True Name, Medusa. Pleased to meet you."

"??? What the actual fuck?!" Kuroda felt his soul leave his body for a second. Refusing to believe it, he dismissed the summoning circle's glow—only to confirm that no miracle had occurred. Standing before him were three purple-haired girls, each with a different expression.

"Is this some kind of combo summon? All three sisters at once? What is this, a fucking team attack?!" Kuroda couldn't help but rant. He knew random summons could be unpredictable, but come on—he'd used All the World's Evil as a catalyst! Shouldn't that have summoned at least one powerful anti-hero? How did he end up with these three, who felt completely unrelated?
