Chapter three
As i walked back home, down these familiar streets , i've walked a thousand times over before
I could clearly hear my heart thumping, yet my feet dragged me through my fears
Urging me to walk ahead
We walked on for quite a while, but making a abrupt halt
A halt caused by such a change in the atmosphere, by an uncanny presence
Which weighed on the atmosphere ,so heavy i felt if i didn't lift my neck it would break
Yet fear gripped me to a spot, weighing on me, prying, letting the cold motion of air flow freely through my ears
Are you scared, carama. My hands trembled greatly,as i gasped, my heart swiftly skipping beats
Who said that?, i lifted my gaze and turned , curious to see where the sound came from
But my gaze fell on an empty street, i turned a few times, just to be certain , but there was only , one human around at that moment
Me
Finally my focus was now directed to the uncanny presence
My home:,funny how an inanimate object drove quite a reaction from me
Its great height, clouding me, making me appear like a shriveled child in it's presence
I huffed, and finally decided to confront my fears.
As i walked towards the gate, i gave it a calm push, but to my surprise it didn't budge
I pushed it again and again, but it didn't budge , was i locked out?
I asked myself ,as i continuied pushing, then i decided to check through the open shute
So i was in fact locked out
*Lucky me*,i had to wait for an hour or so before i heard, before the bolt click and the gate was finally pushed open
And at that moment, i met the one who deemed it fit to finally open the gate
Pfft , she said trying to stiffle in a Laughter oh look who it is , the child prodigy
I sighed, clearly annoyed at her, would you be so kind as to , move out of my way, sister
Mkay, sure mother is waiting for you
Mother?!, my heart turned, o.of course , it was only right to meet her after my slip up.
this morning
My feet weighed as i walked towards the visitor's chamber
In a motion , i twisted the door knob, and made my way in
Tsst- i winced at the light emmitting from nearly took me out
I took a step back to allow, my eyes get accomodated, only after it did, did i notice the door which i had used to intrude into my home was closed ,and in front of me were two entities, who made the atmosphere so thick , one could cut it with a knife
My father sat at the farther end of the couch, in he's a newspaper, it's content, seeming to be the occurence of the events which transpired earlies this month
And in the armrest of the couch , a phone..,the phone, i sighed and stared at the floor
He got the call, the school administrative must've giving him a call
Probably complaining about my lateness
And there i stood like a cat drenched in water, suddenly he lowered the newspaper and shifted his focus to my direction
He made a hand gesture, and slowly, i approached him
Why were you late, he asked lumps clogged my throat as i tried to speak, making me fully unable to form a cohersive sentence
He stared me down, a look which was fully capable of of pulling one to their knee
I overslept, i'll ensure it never happens again, sir,
My teeth sunk into my lips , trying to down the whimpers and create a sensation
A pain which would overwhelm , the growing steadily, in my eye sockets
For an uncomfortable amount of time
The room grew silent
Yet there was this feeling that caused the hair's in the back of my neck to rise, a look
That of my father's eyes evaluating me
Does he hate me, did i disappiont him
Then suddenly, he a rose from he's chair, walking closer to me,
The beat of he's soles drumming against the floorboards
Without warning he's arms shot up.
