//It's the last day of school this summer and the class is bustling with noises. Everybody is busy making plans for holidays//.
"Hey, what's your plans for the summer", my friend Ravina asked. "My parents haven't decided yet, they are very busy now a days, so it might be possible that I won't be going on any vacation this summer", Siya, my other friend answered. "Don't tell me that you are going to your grandma's house for vacation", I teased her. Me and Ravina started chuckling while Siya rolled her eyes at me. "Well Asha, how are YOU gonna spend your summer this year", she asked. "I would just gonna sleep this summer, you know..... hibernation", I said. "That would be Aestivation, Hibernation is meant for winter sleep", Siya paused, "and YOU were laughing at ME", she said with a smug look on her face.
"Fine.... you won, Have fun Granny's baby doll", I said in a teasing tone. "Well then, I have a great news to tell you guys", Ravina said cheerfully. "My older brother is coming back home on two months leave and he promised me to take on a vacation last year", she paused and looked at us to see our reaction. "Great....." I said in the laziest tone ever. "Well at least one of use wouldn't get bored to death this summer", Siya commented in a non curious tone.
"And I asked him if I could bring you along and he said..", she paused. Siya and I grew attentive and asked "Said what??". She looked at us then turned her head and said, "How selfish, now you're getting excited". "Ravina, you are sooo considerate of us , we're really lucky to have you as friend. It's just that we were a bit low spirited thinking about summers", I said. "Yeah, I meant it when I said that *at least you wouldn't get bored likeus*" Siya said while clutching Ravina's arms . Ravina sighed and said "Alright, stop buttering me up", she said and freed her arm from Siya. "My brother agreed. Now, we all can go on a vacation together", she said cheerfully. Siya tightly hugged Ravina and said, "Oh Ravina, you are awesome, Only YOU can make me this happy". "I am so glad that I get to spend this summer with you guys, I am so excited" I said with a wide grin on my face".
"Yeah, just think about the things we can do together, we can have sleepovers, we can binge watch all the latest web series and we can even have parties everyday, I've decided I will be posting daily vlogs of this vacation", Siya said, her eyes shimmering with joy. "But where will we be going for vacation", I asked. "Lakshadweep" Ravina answered. "we'll split our time and visit three different islands in Lakshadweep, wouldn't it be more fun?". "That's great! Brother Aryan is so generous", I said. "well it was my idea actually. When I was look for places to stay on Airbnb, I saw that there were great deals on multiple stays in different places. I thought that it would be better and joyful and convinced him". "And he agreed?", I asked Ravina. "Well, It's been a lng time since he got a leave and he wants to make the most of it, who knows when will he get such a great chance from his work", she answered.
Ravina's brother Aryan is an army officer, so he frequently stay away from home. Although he gets frequent leave to visit his family but those are limited. *Take your seat everyone, the class teacher is about to come*, our class monitor shouted. Everyone took their seats. The teacher entered the class room and distributed our summer assignment for the holidays. "Other than that you also have to write a report on the changes in stock market". *Bell rings* "Okay students, now we'll meet after summer holiday, Have fun", Our teacher said and left.
// At home, on the balcony //
"Mummy, what are you doing", I asked. "Nothing, just watching some videos about how to raise plants", she replied. "I want to grow some flowers on this balcony, see.... wouldn't it look pretty if there would've been a vine rapped around the ends of the railing", she said with a smile. "Yes, it will enhance the view of this balcony, perfect for evening tea times", I commented. She nodded joyfully while thinking about it. "By the way, Did you've something to say", she asked. "Yes", I answered. "You know, Ravina's elder brother is coming back on leave and She is planning to go on a vacation with him". I looked at my mother and continued, "she asked if I'd like to join in". "So..... can I go with them?"
