The Temple Is Empty, and So Are Our Hearts
The dim light is glowing in the sacred chamber of the church was filled with the scent of burning incense . The High Priest groaned on the stone floor, slowly awakening with a pained expression. His bones creaked as he sat up, rubbing his back.
"Ugh… my spine… What happened? Oh yes—My lord Tatsunokami—"
He glanced around the empty temple.
"...My Lord?"
There was no sign of the master. The ceremonial mirror of worlds still glowed faintly, but the divine presence that once filled the air was now completely gone.
The priest's face drained of color.
"MY LORD! NOT AGAIN!" he screamed, fell to his feets.
He clutched his bald head, shaking in panic. "No… no no no. That crafty old dragon trapped me again! He said he'd look! Not leave! How am I going to explain this to those two monster ladies? They'll roast me alive!"

Valderya sat at the massive obsidian desk, drowning in scrolls and ink. Her proud dragon armor was missing—replaced by a crumpled robe, tired eyes, and trembling hands.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she sobbed into her sleeves.
"Master… how could you do this… again…? You left me with mountains of paperwork! You traitor!"
The door slammed open.
"MASTER!!!" Miraki shouted joyfully, flying into the room with flapping wings and wild energy.
But Valderya was sitting on the throne.
"Eh? Where's Master?" she asked, her tail flicking with confusion.
Valderya looked up, face red from crying. "He left us… again "
Miraki froze, wings stiffening.
"What…?( A loud scream)" Her voice cracked. "Who's going to train me now?!"
Valderya stood up sharply, eyes blazing. "That's what you care about?! Your training?! You really are a stubborn child!"
Miraki sniffled. "I just wanted to be strong so could I protect him… he promised me…"
Her voice broke into sobs.
"Did he go to that priest again?" she asked. "Just to spy on humans for years.?"
Before Valderya could answer, the door burst open again.
The High Priest stumbled inside, robes is twisted, face pale.
"There you are!" Valderya growled.
"You…!" Miraki added, eyes glowing with fury.
The two stormed toward him like twin tempests, glaring daggers.
The High Priest yelped and fell to his knees. "Wait! Wait! It's not what you think!"
"Then explain," Valderya hissed.
The old man gulped. "This time… Master didn't go to watch human life…"
Valderya and Miraki paused, cautiously hopeful.
"You mean… he didn't go to just spy on Earth again?" Miraki asked.
The priest smiled weakly. "Indeed."
Both women exhaled in relief.
But this time he did more dangerous than

Silence.
Two pairs of deadly eyes fixed on the priest like predators.
"WHAT?!" they yelled in unison.
"Say that again," Valderya growled, cracking her knuckles.

Before more chaos could unfold, a calm but commanding voice cut through the air.

Varynesia entered gracefully, her wings glowing with divine light, eyes sharp like a sword.
Miraki and Valderya turned with tears in their eyes.
"He's gone!" they cried.
"He left us! Again!"
"And it's all this wrinkled priest's fault!"
Varynesia blinked, then narrowed her gaze on the trembling old man.
"Tell me everything," she said.
The High Priest stammered, "He… he didn't just leave. This time… he reincarnated into the mortal world."
Varynesia gasped, but she held herself together with iron resolve.
