Qasim open the Diary of her then we go into the flashbacks where it all started

"12 April 2023":

"I found myself staring at our wall for 15 minutes, completely zoned out. All the entertaining authors were publishing their books with interesting titles, and everyone around me seemed to be enjoying their lives—except me. Maybe you've guessed it already: it's my exam season. I find everything interesting except studies. And now, here I am—crying and cursing myself for the late preparations. I need to get back to studying again."

---

Flashback:

She is preparing really hard for her exams because it's her board exam. Her father, Faruk Islam, and her mother, Mahira Rahman, are both respected figures in the city.

She is sitting for her HSC (12th board exam). Despite studying well, she's still overwhelmed with stress—it's a big deal for her. She dreams of becoming an AILDan , but her parents disapprove, wanting her to become a doctor instead. They often taunt her for her choice of profession. But Pakhi knows what she wants, and she's fighting for it. Her father, ironically, is a professor at an art college.

The Exam Hall:

Oh God, she prayed silently. Please give me strength. I prepared so hard for this.

Around her, her classmates began to chant her nickname mockingly.

"Dumbo!" they yelled.

Even some of her teachers used that nickname. She wore thick glasses that others found unattractive, and they often called her "chashmish" to mock her.

Silently, she finished her final exam, being the last one to leave the classroom. As she stepped out, laughter erupted again.

"Ohh, our Dumbo finally finished her exam," one of them sneered.

Pakhi gave a nervous, frightened smile. "Yes… Now can I go?" she asked quietly.

"No!!" they shouted in unison, laughing louder.

"Why?!" she asked, alarmed.

They ignored her question and one of them smirked. "So… what do you want to study in college?"

Pakhi hesitated. "AILD," she said softly.

They burst into laughter.

"Do you even know what the word 'AILD being mean' means?" Artistic Innovation & Lifestyle Design" ….

If you ever build a house with even one piece of paper, it'll definitely collapse. Anyway you can't be an 'The Vibe Engineers'

of that course anyway "

"I… I will try my best to do my work properly, inshallah," Pakhi replied, her voice shaky.

Another sneered, "Yeah right, Dumbo. First learn to see the world with your own eyes."

Without warning, they began yanking her glasses off her face. She tried to stop them, screaming and crying, but they ran away with them. She chased after them, only to trip and fall in the mud. More laughter. They threw her glasses on the ground.

Later, Pakhi walked along the road, her vision blurry. She could barely see, but her ears picked up the voices of the society's aunties.

"Look at this spoiled girl again," one of them muttered. "Always coming back in dirty clothes. Her parents never taught her anything."

Pakhi's heart ached—not for herself, but for her parents. She didn't know how to stand up for them. Her steps were slow and uncertain due to her poor vision, and everyone around stared at her. Some laughed.

When she finally got home, terrified, her parents rushed toward her.

"What happened?" her mother barked. "Did you play in the mud again?!"

"Oh God," her father groaned, even angrier. "It's your fault. Just say it—you want me to fulfill all her stupid dreams!"

"I'm sorry," Pakhi mumbled.

"Where are your glasses?" her mother demanded.

"They… broke," she replied.

"Wow, again? You broke your glasses in just a month?" her mother snapped.

"We should punish her by not giving her any new glasses," her father said coldly.

"Yes," her mother agreed. "You don't deserve our love and care. Now tell us—why are your clothes dirty?"

"I… I accidentally fell in the mud," Pakhi said, trying to keep her tears in.

"You always do everything accidentally," her father said sarcastically.

She clutched her hands tightly and whispered another "Sorry," before running off to the bathroom. She turned on the tap and cried beneath the rushing water. After lunch, she drifted off to sleep.

On the phone:

Her mother dialed her sister.

"Oh sister," she began, exasperated, " My life is getting worse and worse, like today I scolded her again. I don't like to do it but she is making me do it she says she wants to be AILDan "

"Mahira," her aunt replied, "this generation is so spoiled. AILDan? That gives many opportunities for different students like they have different classes but not doctors. Doctors will make your reputation better. Just make her a doctor."

"I hate to say this but she doesn't even have the brain of a four-year-old," her mother hissed. "Always breaking her glasses, falling in the mud. She can't even balance herself."

"IQ means nothing," the aunt scoffed. "Just send her to medical college. She'll manage. Get her ready to sit for the admission test."

"But what if she doesn't get selected?" her Ma whispered. "Then everyone will laugh at us. Maybe it's better if we just let her study AILD… and focus on her marriage instead ."

"Yes," her aunt agreed. "I'll find a government officer for her. But he won't marry her for just 100k dowry—arrange more, or else no one will take this girl for free."

" I don't know what I can do with my daughter, you wont understand my pain because God gives you a son. Her results are going to come in a month if she scores less than 80% in any subjects, I am going to send her to the village university again!." her Ma announced furiously

The girl wants to escape from all but destiny had its own plan when her results
