She felt like the reborn Ulquiorra he'd encountered before.

"The technique you used was this very lightning in your hand."

"What I did next should be obvious to someone of your intelligence."
"I used the Hōgyoku to completely reconstruct dying Ulquiorra's body. I preserved his soul's integrity while giving him resistance to your spiritual pressure. No more spiritual particle decomposition."
"Then I used your spiritual pressure and lightning that Ulquiorra collected to create Alleste."
"Later, you arrived in Hueco Mundo."
Aizen glanced at the girl, then looked back at Shigure with a faint smile:
"Let me guess what you're thinking right now."
"Why is this 'incomplete Arrancar' standing here awake after you killed her?"
"You probably figured I sent Nnoitra and Szayelaporro ahead to buy time..."
"'He had Ulquiorra guard her to protect her evolution'..."
"That's what you thought, right?"
Aizen stared into Shigure's eyes with amusement.

Shigure's eyes narrowed. His heart stirred.
Everything Aizen described matched his deductions—the power collection, the Arrancar creation.
But these last points were his exact doubts.
Judging by spiritual pressure and soul state, this girl was definitely the one sleeping in that container.
After he killed her, there was no reason her soul should reform here...
Seeing Shigure's expression, Aizen chuckled:
"Look at you, Segawa. Didn't you just say my words couldn't affect you?"

But little Alleste just watched with wide eyes. When the golden particles rushed at her, she reached out—

The particles exploded against her pale palm. Then, like hitting a black hole, they were completely absorbed!
Golden lightning suddenly flared in the girl's black pupils!
Moments later, her entire eyes turned blazing gold!
Her black feathered dress began glowing faintly golden at the edges. Her whole presence transformed completely.
Both Shigure and Aizen's eyes flickered.
But she seemed to understand nothing. Instead, she looked down at herself with pure curiosity.
Seeing this, Aizen's smile deepened as he looked at Shigure:
"Though I expected this, seeing it firsthand is still amazing."
"Unlike Wonderweiss's flame-sealing ability, Alleste's power is... absolute control over your Zanpakutō's lightning!"
Aizen's smile widened:
"Her Resurrección is called... 'Thunder-Guiding Feather'!"
