Daniel did not respond to Milla's question.
But Milla also didn't press further, because she had already felt it—whatever had just happened, she had clearly experienced it with every fiber of her being.
Even so, her face was still filled with a deep and overwhelming sense of relief, the kind one only feels after brushing past death.
She inhaled and exhaled deeply several times in a row, trying to calm her wildly beating heart. Only after stabilizing her emotions did she clutch her chest, steadying her breath, and finally ask in a slightly shaky voice.
"Lord Daniel… that attack just now… was it Aurelia…?"
Her words were fragmented, her voice trembled. Right now, Milla was having trouble stringing a coherent sentence together.
Daniel, however, remained perfectly calm. With a casual wave of his hand, he deactivated the Reflective Shield.
"Yes. Aurelia launched an assault just now."
