Faced with someone as "naïve" as Daniel, Kalthor began weaving his web of temptation.
"O human," Kalthor declared grandly, "for the great deed of resurrecting me, I am willing to make you my chosen."
"Whatever you desire, I can give it to you. Once I am revived, I will help you ascend the throne of the Human Emperor."
"This Millennium Apocalypse? It's nothing to be afraid of. After it's over, I will make you the supreme ruler of this world!"
"Just imagine it—the other races crawling at your feet, while you stand alone at the pinnacle of power!"
"So, what do you say, my friend? Aren't you excited about such a glorious future?"
Of course, not even in his wildest imagination would Kalthor have guessed that everything he promised had already become reality. Daniel had long since surpassed what Kalthor was offering.
At this point, the only thing Daniel truly desired… was Kalthor's soul.
Despite the stream of extravagant promises, Daniel simply smiled politely.
