"Shit!" Charles cursed, pulling a gun from his chest. Shaun acted fast, blocking his move. He could understand Charles's feelings—Janice was in the Silver Emperor's hands, so they had to tread carefully.
"Charles, calm down!" Brian grabbed Charles's other arm from behind. The Silver Emperor's real target wasn't them, but Hell Gate and Black Hawk. Though Black Hawk had shown them kindness, that meant nothing compared to the woman Charles loved.
"I'll agree to anything you want—just let me see her now!" Charles withdrew his hand reluctantly. He couldn't tolerate the Silver Emperor insulting Janice, even if it was just words.
