LAURAN'S ROOM – CONTINUING
Amber sat across from Justin, watching him intently.
Amber: 🧐
"Why…?"
Justin's focus was on the papers in front of him, but his mind seemed to respond to Amber as if hypnotized by her presence.
Justin: 😎
"The girl I liked… she didn't want to marry me because I wasn't in power. So… Grandma made me marry the servant's daughter."
Amber leaned closer, curiosity shining in her eyes.
Amber: 🧐
"And…?"
Justin: 😎
"As soon as she found out that the girl I married was cheating… she killed the child."
Amber: 🧐
"Who…?"
Justin: paused, then slowly looked at her, realization dawning. 😶
Amber: 😎
"Ber… right?"
Justin: regained composure and nodded silently. 😶
Amber leaned back slightly, raising an eyebrow.
Amber: 🧐
"And you said you had a company?"
Justin: 😎
"Yeah… not a huge one, but it's mine."
Amber: 🧐
"What's the name of it?"
Justin smirked slightly, teasing. 😎
"Someone's curious, huh?"
Amber smiled softly.
"Of course… I want to know how my son lived while I wasn't there." 😊
Justin allowed a small smile to escape, warmth in his eyes. Finally… after all this time, she had acknowledged him as her son.
Justin: ☺️
"Alright… I'll tell you everything."
Amber's gaze softened, and for the first time in a long while, there was a quiet, comforting connection between them.
