Night at Devis House
The room was quiet, except for the faint sound of the two kids lost in their own worlds—one happy, one pensive. Thomas and Emily observed them carefully, trying to decipher their expressions.
Thomas (grinning knowingly): "Confirmed." 😒
Emily: "What?" 😒
Thomas: "They're completely mental." 😎
Emily burst into laughter: 🤣
At that moment, Amber entered the room.
Amber: "What's happening here?" 😐
Everyone turned to look at her.
Emily, still giggling, tried to explain everything.
Amber listened for a moment, then suddenly broke into a loud, unrestrained laugh—something none of them had ever heard her do before.
Amber: "Ohh, a little triangle love story, huh?" 🤣
Lussy (blushing, flustered): "Shut up, aunty… don't say it like that!" 😐
Amber continued laughing heartily: 🤣🤣🤣
All four kids were mesmerized by her laugh—it was the first time Amber had let herself laugh so freely in front of them.
Justin watched her, a small frown forming on his face. "Is it wrong to love someone of the same gender?" he wondered silently. He assumed Amber was laughing at him.
Amber noticed the change in Justin's expression and stopped abruptly. 😊
She understood immediately—Justin wasn't just joking around. He was hurt.
If he were still a ten-year-old, she could have brushed it off as immaturity. But he had been reborn with all the knowledge and consciousness of an adult—he had every right to make his own choices.
Amber stepped closer, her gaze softening as she looked at Justin.
Amber: "Justin… love is love. It doesn't matter who your heart chooses. You have the right to be happy, and to love whoever you want." 😊
Justin looked up at her, a mixture of relief and admiration in his eyes.
Lussy peeked at him curiously, while Thomas and Emily exchanged impressed glances.
Amber, seeing their silent awe, smiled faintly and shook her head. "What a crazy bunch…" she muttered under her breath, but her eyes sparkled with warmth.
