Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Belonging

As soon as Fang Zheng typed in the two characters "Fang Cang," the surrounding air suddenly trembled violently. In the next instant, a figure appeared out of thin air, it was Fang Cang.

Fang Zheng's eyes scanned him like a searchlight, up and down, examining him thoroughly.

Fang Cang stood tall, his face cold and stern. His appearance vaguely resembled a young Shimura Danzo from Fang Zheng's memory.

"Milord, the supreme one... who can summon me...."

Fang Zheng's eyes narrowed and the corner of his mouth twitched in irritation.

However, to maintain his composure, he clasped his hands in a formal greeting. His deep, respectful voice broke the brief silence.

In that moment, a translucent status panel suddenly materialized before Fang Zheng:

[Name: Fang Cang (Shimura Danzo)]

Cultivation: None

Spiritual Affinity: Wind, Sealing

Spirit Beast: Dream Tapir (Power Sealed)

Techniques: Wind Style: Shuriken, Wind Style: Vacuum Wave Barrage, Secret: Four Symbols Seal, Curse Tongue Eradication Seal…]

Well damn, now it all made sense. Everything clicked into place.

But this "spirit beast" part?

Wasn't it supposed to only inherit talents and personality traits?

How the hell did he get actual jutsus along with it?

Jealousy levels: MAX.

Fang Zheng pondered for a bit, then his thoughts shifted to his next goal, the Rinnegan.

The moment the thought surfaced, his eyes began to transform. The pupils slowly turned into concentric circles like layers of onion rings.

Strangely enough, the Rinnegan felt like a natural part of his body.

From the moment it appeared, it was as familiar as breathing, intuitive, seamless, perfectly under his control.

"Universal Pull!"

Fang Zheng muttered under his breath. A powerful gravitational force instantly burst outward from him as the center.

A nearby rock, as if yanked by an invisible hand, flew through the air with a sharp whistle and landed squarely in Fang Zheng's outstretched palm.

"Almighty Push!"

Almost in the same moment, he exerted force from his palm. The stone was blasted away with terrifying repulsion, like a cannonball.

BOOM!

It smashed into a thick tree trunk in the distance, embedding deep into the wood and leaving behind a shallow imprint.

"Holy shit, this is too damn satisfying. Good system, I never wanna go back!"

Fang Zheng couldn't hold back his excitement. Power surged wildly inside him, it felt divine.

As for the parents and childhood sweetheart he left behind in the real world? Their familiar faces flashed briefly through his mind, but he felt nothing.

Cold. Distant.

Those emotional ties felt utterly trivial now.

After calming down, Fang Zheng realized the first thing he needed to do was leave the forest.

He bent down, picked up a flat stone from the ground, and tossed it high into the air.

The stone arced through the sky, then landed with one end pointing steadily to the right.

Fang Zheng glanced in that direction, then turned and called to Fang Cang:

"Let's go. This way."

Along the way, Fang Zheng's curiosity overflowed. He bombarded Fang Cang with questions.

"Do you still remember anything from your past life?"

Fang Zheng asked, full of anticipation.

Fang Cang furrowed his brow slightly, a trace of confusion in his eyes. After a pause, he slowly replied:

"I know… some. But it's blurry. Like a memory through fog."

Fang Zheng's heart stirred. He tested a single word:

"Hokage."

In that instant, Fang Cang's reaction was explosive.

He looked like he had been electrocuted. His gaze turned sharp, and an invisible pressure radiated from his body.

It was as if the word "Hokage" carried endless weight, filled with unspeakable memories and significance for him.

Fang Zheng immediately understood.

This so-called "fusion" sounded fancy, but in reality, the system just copied someone, blurred their memories, and handed them over to the player.

Thinking that, Fang Zheng regretted it a little.

If he had known, he wouldn't have picked such a casual name.

Next time, he'd just go with their real names.

As for this unlucky Fang Cang, too bad. He just happened to be summoned too early.

(From now on, he'd summon them by their actual names.)

Along the way, low-level spirit beasts kept appearing one after another, like they could smell prey.

They came in all shapes and sizes. Some had sharp fangs and foul-smelling breath as they roared.

Others were covered in rough scales, rustling through branches like sandpaper.

Facing these savage beasts for the first time, Fang Zheng couldn't help feeling uneasy.

When the first beast charged at him with fangs bared, he honestly flinched a little.

And when he killed it, warm blood splashed across his face, the stench stabbing into his nose. His stomach churned, and he nearly vomited.

But as the fights piled up, Fang Zheng started to change.

One after another, these low-level beasts fell at his feet, becoming the whetstones that sharpened his swordsmanship.

Meanwhile, Fang Cang used chakra refining techniques to successfully break through to the second stage of Body Training.

It was unclear how far they had walked when suddenly, the sound of a fierce battle reached their ears.

The two followed the noise and found two men and two women locked in a desperate fight against a massive mantis-like spirit beast.

The mantis stood more than twice a man's height, exuding a chilling aura. Its cultivation was at the mid-Foundation Establishment realm.

Among the four, two were at early Foundation Establishment, while the other two were at the ninth layer of Qi Refining.

The four surrounded the beast, weapons flashing with glowing light.

But the beast showed no fear.

Suddenly, it kicked off the ground and shot like an arrow toward one of the female Qi Refining cultivators, so fast it was almost invisible to the naked eye.

It raised its massive pincers, slicing through the air with a shriek, then slammed down.

The woman reacted quickly, raising her longsword to block.

The moment pincers and sword collided, a sharp metallic screech rang out.

But the power gap was overwhelming.

In less than half a second, the giant pincers pierced right through her body.

The female cultivator coughed up a mouthful of blood. The light faded from her eyes.

Her body flew backward like a broken kite and crashed heavily into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

"Holy shit, this is wild. This world is freaking awesome!"

Hiding in the distance, Fang Zheng's face was full of barely-contained excitement. His eyes glowed with madness.

Especially when he saw that woman get pierced,

A strange joy rose in his chest.

To him, this blood and violence... was the true nature of this world.

"This is my world!"

Fang Zheng stretched his arms wide and hugged himself tightly. A look of intoxicated bliss spread across his face,

as if in this moment, he had finally found where he truly belonged.
