Evalyn startled and turned around, only to see a woman in a fox mask with black hair standing right beside her.
It was none other than Kaede, the princess of the Eastern Empire of Izanagi.
"Y-Your—"
Before she could finish, Nolan quickly stood and pinched her lips shut.
Evalyn froze again, looking at Nolan in confusion.
Nolan ignored her reaction. After letting go, he fixed his deep gaze on Kaede.
"Can we help you?" he asked indifferently, showing no trace of respect.
A maid standing beside Kaede bristled at Nolan's attitude and was about to scold him, but Kaede stopped her at once.
"Your Highness, he—"
"Shh… don't mention my identity in front of the people here. Have you forgotten the rules?"
Those words immediately silenced the maid. She bit her lower lip and lowered her head in embarrassment.
Kaede then turned back to Nolan, a smile hidden behind her mask.
