Chapter 5 - pt.5

She looked at Max with great concern and said:

"Max... they will discover your matter too..."

As for Max, he did not listen to what she said at all, but was in his parallel world between his random thoughts, so Mrs.

Marcelina straightened up from her place and headed towards her and surrounded her shoulders with her arm as a simple hug for her while she was sitting and to remove some of the anxiety from her and said gently and kindly:

"My dear Patrice, don't worry... nothing will happen... I am sure that you will be victorious... you do not know how strong our kingdom is... and also your husband is very strong and not a child and can bear the responsibility for that... don't worry, they are just three sorcerers... our number exceeds them, my little one.."

She lowered her head and looked at Mrs. Marcelina with a gentle smile and gratitude. In fact, her words affected her a little and relieved her anxiety, as her words were logical to her, so she felt a little relieved and thanked her gently.

Mrs. Marcelina and her daughter moved away, and everyone saw what they had to do, while she was thinking about that matter... Her reverie was interrupted by Max, who got up from his chair to go somewhere, so she got up with him and headed towards him and said:

"Where to, Max?... Don't think about that matter, Max... I can feel your distraction now... Don't forget that our souls are linked together, so I can feel you as you do... Remember Mrs. Marcelina's words, don't worry and..."

Max interrupted her, saying calmly and strangely:

"Patrice, you don't know how dangerous this matter is... They may bring their demons with them, and this is certain... and the demons' powers are ten times our weakness!... and no one knows what the demons' weakness is except the angels... they are the only ones who can defeat the demons!..."

She blinked for a few seconds and said again:

"Then why don't we agree with the angels?"

Max sighed and said:

"No one can communicate with the angels here... There is a barrier between us... and also the angels are strong and difficult to please, especially in these situations, so this will be difficult for us..."

She took a deep breath and put a strand of her hair behind her ear and said:

"So what will we do?...."

Max interrupted her when she

Max interrupted me, chuckling sarcastically, "We'll do it? You won't be in that war, Patrice. Don't even dream about it. It's dangerous for you!"

I frowned slightly, displeased. "What? Max, do you think I'm weak?!"

I wrung my hands in my lap, stubbornly turning my face away. "I'll be there, and you won't interfere in anything."

I glanced at Max, who was staring at me sharply. I won't lie, those looks made me feel genuinely scared, but I tried to stand my ground and pretend I didn't care.

Max smiled, letting out a small laugh. "Patrice, you know I can feel your fear right now, right?"

Damn it, that's right! I forgot about that! Ugh, you're so stupid, Patrice!!

That's what I was thinking in my head as I looked at Max embarrassedly, hearing him continue, "I can hear what you're saying too..."

I yelled, extremely embarrassed, "Damn you, Max! Don't eavesdrop on things that aren't your business!"

I turned and quickly went upstairs to my room, sitting on the couch after closing the door behind me...

I whispered to myself, "I hope luck is on our side in this battle..."

As I sat there, my mind was completely consumed by the battle. I was extremely worried!

An idea suddenly popped into my head, and I smiled to myself. "That's right, Patrice! What if I try to contact the angels!"

I jumped when that voice interrupted me in my mind, and I could clearly recognize it. It was Max's voice, saying boredly, "Don't even think about doing that!"

I replied to him in my mind, "Let's try, Max... It'll work, just trust me, I'm sure!"

Max: "Stop it, Patrice, it won't happen."

I said defiantly, "I'll do it, and try to stop me if you can!"
