Chapter 144: The Truth of Reverse Cyber Style
"Although they look unassuming, even a bit disgusting, when the three Ojama brothers gather, they unleash unimaginable power. That is Ojama King!" Chumley introduced the Monster that appeared on his Field. "Even if they're small fry, trash, or waste, after fusing, they become the king of the Ojama clan, the king among trash!"
"A king among trash? Sounds pretty awesome. What is it?" Joey asked curiously.
Chumley replied with a proud expression, "Still trash!"
Ignoring Joey, who nearly tripped and fell into Mai Valentine's arms, Chumley continued his Turn: "When Ojama King is Summoned to the Field, I can Activate its Effect."
"Target up to three Monster Zones on your Opponent's Field. As long as Ojama King remains on the Field, those Monster Zones cannot be used!"
"Excuse me~"
Although Ojama King's voice was slow, its actions were anything but. It reached into its red briefs, pulled out a giant stamp, and swiftly stamped Sheppard's Field three times.
Apart from a Face-down Defense Position Monster and Cyber Shadow Gardna, which was originally a Trap Card, Sheppard's Monster Zones had three empty slots. But after Chumley's Ojama King stamped the Field, three chibi Ojama King avatars occupied those spots, and three Monster Zones in front of Sheppard dimmed, becoming unusable.
"Blocking me from Summoning more Machine-Type Monsters? My Strategy has only just begun, yet you've already devised a counter. Chumley, you are truly formidable," Sheppard exclaimed, his eyes still sharp. "However, my Strategy isn't that simple."
"Of course, I wouldn't underestimate you, Mr. Sheppard. But my Turn isn't over yet." Chumley played X-Head Cannon, which he hadn't Summoned before, from his hand. "I Summon X-Head Cannon in Attack Position, then—"
"The moment you Summon a Monster, I Activate a Trap Card!"
Sheppard interrupted Chumley, flipping open a Set Card: "Dark Cure! Each time the Opponent Normal, Flip, or Special Summons a Monster, I recover Life Points equal to half that Monster's value!"
To be honest, Chumley truly didn't understand the point of Sheppard's Card. He had just used Cyber Summon Blaster to deduct 300 of his own Life Points, only to Activate this Card. X-Head Cannon has 1800 ATK, so wouldn't he recover 900 Life Points?
"My Chain isn't over. I Activate another Card, Medication's Side Effect!" Sheppard chuckled as he opened the fourth Trap Card he Activated this Turn. "This Card turns any Life Point recovery effect for the Opponent into a Damage effect. In other words—"
"Because I Summoned X-Head Cannon, Dark Cure would recover half my Life Points, which is 900, and then because of Medication's Side Effect, that 900 points of healing is reversed into 900 points of Effect Damage, right?" Chumley asked, a helpless expression on his face, too exhausted to complain about Sheppard's "Cyber Style" Deck.
Seriously, among the Cards Activated this Turn, not a single one was a Cyber Style Card. Truly worthy of being the future master of Cyber Style, effortlessly achieving what we cannot. I truly admire you!
Harboring a "reverence" for Sheppard's profound understanding of Cyber Style, Chumley watched as a current erupted from the freshly Summoned X-Head Cannon and transferred to him.

"Without even entering Battle, he managed to reduce Chumley's Life Points by a whopping 1200 points. Mr. Sheppard's offensive is truly fierce," Joey exclaimed.
Yugi nodded in agreement seriously, "Yes, it seems Chumley's strength has put Mr. Sheppard under considerable pressure, causing him to reveal even more of his power."
"Although Sheppard is quite formidable, Chumley isn't someone who can be defeated so easily, is he?" Mai Valentine looked towards the Field. "Sheppard only has two Trump Cards left to reveal, and Chumley hasn't even attacked yet."
And just as Mai Valentine said, after Sheppard revealed four out of six mysteries left from his previous Turn, all that stood between Chumley and him were a Face-down Defense Position Monster and a Set Card.
"Enter Battle Phase!" Chumley's Ojama King had 0 ATK and could only be in Defense Position, so only X-Head Cannon could be used to attack. "I use X-Head Cannon to attack that Set Monster! East Wind Express, delivery guaranteed!"
Swoosh~ Two missiles launched from the blue robot, soared high into the sky, then arced in a shallow curve, descending at a near 90-degree angle to strike Sheppard's Monster.
Boom! To Chumley's surprise, Sheppard didn't Activate the Set Card in his Backrow even as his Monster was Destroyed and Sent to the Graveyard, instead allowing the Monster to be obliterated by the missiles. From the smoke of the explosion, Chumley vaguely saw that the Monster seemed to be a bird-like Machine-Type Monster.
"When Cyber Phoenix is Destroyed by battle and Sent to the Graveyard, its Effect can Activate. I Draw one Card from my Deck." Sheppard revealed the Card Destroyed by X-Head Cannon, then Drew a card from his Deck. "Then, because my Cyber Phoenix was Destroyed, I Activate my Set Card,"
"Grave of Revival!"
Under Chumley's stunned gaze, Sheppard's Trap Card began to take effect. From the remnants left by Sheppard's Destroyed Cyber Phoenix, a new Cyber Phoenix burst forth from the ground, appearing on the Field in Defense Position.

Chumley reluctantly said, "In that case, I'll Revive Ojama Yellow from my Graveyard."
The small yellow Monster appeared on Chumley's Field, a triumphant grin on its face: "Yohohoho, I knew big bro wouldn't abandon me~"

As Sheppard spoke, the "radar tank" in his Backrow absorbed the energy from Cyber Phoenix's Summon, and another bolt of electricity struck Chumley, reducing his Life Points once more.

After Chumley's Battle Phase, not only did he fail to reduce the number of Monsters on Sheppard's Field, but his own Life Points dropped again, totaling a cumulative deduction of 1500 Life Points.
The only silver lining was that Ojama Yellow, Summoned by Grave of Revival, had 0 ATK, so it wouldn't take further Damage from Dark Cure's Effect.
At this point, Chumley finally understood. Sheppard's Deck wasn't Cyber Style at all; it was a Shadow Realm Burn Deck. No wonder Reverse Cyber Style emitted weak currents every time a Card was Drawn; Chumley now had strong reasons to suspect that current was caused by Sheppard's Cyber Summon Blaster.
He understood now, Kaiser's death was Sheppard's fault. To prevent his disciple from going astray and stuffing Traps into his Deck, Sheppard, you are truly despicable.
