## Chapter 106: Pegasus: The Scum Who Investigates People's Favorite Colors
Watching Pegasus's retreating figure disappear into the shadows, Yugi, who had just made a very imposing statement, visibly softened, or rather, his face became more childlike. Clearly, Yami Yugi had come out for a short while and then retreated.
Croquet waited by the Audience Seating and respectfully said, "Distinguished qualifiers, Maximillion Pegasus's Duel performance has concluded. I have prepared rooms for all of you to rest. You may relax until tomorrow morning."
"Just as I expected. That guy Pegasus, he won again." The speaker was Bandit Keith. He had already regained his composure after Kaiba's defeat. With a cynical expression, hands in his pockets, he casually walked past Croquet towards the other end of the corridor.
"Bandit Keith, are you trying to run away, you scoundrel!" Joey said to Bandit Keith.
Bandit Keith tilted his head slightly, glancing at Joey. "You punk, don't you understand the situation?"
"Although we've qualified for the Top 8, the Top 8 Matches haven't started yet because Pegasus's stipulated 48 hours aren't up, and only five people have collected ten star chips," Chumley explained to Joey. "Moreover, I don't think the Top 8 Matches will allow us to pick our Opponents freely, like the Duels on the island. It's more likely that Pegasus will arrange our Duel Opponents himself, don't you think?"
"That's right, you're pretty clever, aren't you?" Bandit Keith chuckled, glanced at Chumley, and walked away without looking back. "I'm not someone you can just challenge whenever you feel like it. However, considering you're nothing but a Fodder Monster, I actually wouldn't mind facing you, hahahaha."
"That guy!" Joey watched Bandit Keith's retreating back, clenching his fists.
The very professional Croquet remained standing with a half-bow, unaffected by the conflict between Bandit Keith and Joey.
"Croquet, please lead us to our rooms," Chumley said to Croquet, then turned back to Yugi. "Although I also want to avenge Kaiba, that guy Pegasus only accepts challenges from the Champion. All we can do now is rest and conserve our strength, right?"
Yugi nodded reluctantly. "It seems that's all we can do."
"Now, I shall lead the way for all you competitors. Maximillion Pegasus has arranged separate rooms for each of you, ensuring ample space for rest." Croquet extended his hand, leading the way and gesturing for everyone to follow him. He didn't forget Tristan and the others. "As for these gentlemen and ladies, you are Mr. Chumley's friends, and we have also arranged rooms for you. However, the two gentlemen might have to share a room."
Tristan and Bakura had no objections. Compared to sleeping rough outdoors, having a room was already quite good. They had initially thought they would have to find Joey, Yugi, or Chumley to crash with, so a double room was already good news.
Seeing that no one had any objections, Croquet said nothing more, silently leading the way for everyone.
The journey was silent. Everyone's mood was still somewhat immersed in the previous Duel between Pegasus and Kaiba, unable to fully shake off the shocking fact that "Kaiba's Soul had been sealed by Pegasus." Each lost in their own thoughts, the group silently followed behind Croquet. Ascending the stairs, Croquet led them to the third-floor corridor. After assigning rooms to everyone, he departed.
"Then, I shall take my leave. If you require anything, please ring the bell in your room, and we will do our best to fulfill your requests within our capabilities. To all competitors, please rest well and conserve your energy for tomorrow's Match."
After Croquet left, the most boisterous Joey eagerly opened the door to his room. He looked inside, slightly stunned. "That guy Pegasus, he's really rich, isn't he? To prepare such luxurious rooms for us!"
His room was decorated quite lavishly. It boasted a separate wet and dry bathroom, of course, and even a large bathtub for soaking. On closer inspection, there seemed to be a massage function by the tub. And besides basic amenities like a coffee table and chairs, sofa, TV, large bed, and computer, there was even a refrigerator and a snack cabinet.
To exaggerate a little, if he were to call Croquet to send up some barbecue or other items, this large room could almost be considered a small resort, because Joey even found a pile of sunbathing items, and even sunscreen.
Tristan was originally heading to his own room, but seeing how awesome Joey's room was, he refused to leave, wanting to commandeer Joey's large bed. This led to Tristan and Joey performing a close-quarters, 3D live-action rendition of "strongman pinning man," "man on man," and "full of strong men."
No one went up to stop the two clowns' daily antics. Instead, they each returned to their assigned rooms to see what theirs were like.
Chumley entered his room, actually quite satisfied. The basic decor wasn't much different from Joey's; it had a refrigerator, bathtub, TV, and computer. It seemed these items were standard for every Duelist's room.
The only thing that greatly annoyed Chumley was—
Why were his duvet cover, pillow, and mattress all fuchsia???
Chumley suspected that bastard Pegasus had definitely investigated everyone. Because Joey's duvet cover was blue and white striped, which was his favorite color combination. Whenever they went out on holidays, Joey often wore clothes in that color scheme.
Of course, liking blue and white didn't stop Joey from disliking Kaiba, who used *Blue-Eyes White Dragon*.
He glanced at a classical grandfather clock in the room; the time was just past ten in the morning. There was still a long time until tomorrow. Following the principle of "doing something just because one is idle," Chumley wondered if he should just call Croquet to change the duvet cover and other items.
But as he thought about it, Chumley instead lay down on the comfortable, soft large bed. Using his waist, he playfully bounced on the bed, looking quite relaxed.
Just like when he first arrived in the Yu-Gi-Oh! World and saw the fuchsia bed in his own home.
After resting on the bed for a while, Chumley sat up, took out all the Cards he currently possessed from the System, and piled them on the bed. He picked up one of them and examined it closely.
Although he wasn't entirely sure what Pegasus had done, the Card spirit of *Gaia* within the *Gaia The Fierce Knight* Card in Chumley's hand had disappeared. Perhaps it was sealed, or perhaps it was stripped away by the power of the *Millennium Eye*. In any case, Chumley had to consider which Cards he would use next.
Looking at the large amount of DP he had accumulated for a long time, Chumley gritted his teeth, opened the [Shop] Module, and confirmed the purchase of a certain item.
