Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 the magical use of the paw fruit

"According to my current situation, even if I channel my soul power through my muscles and bones, it will take at least three days for my body to fully recover from the damage caused by the previous exercise," Lucien carefully felt the state of his body and couldn't help frowning as he spoke to himself. "Damn it! If I weren't stuck here, I wouldn't have to worry about my body's recovery."

If Lucien were still the pampered second prince of the Star Luo Empire, he could call for healing spirit masters to mend the damage from his physical exercises at any time. Or he could have the imperial doctor boil some precious medicinal materials to create a medicinal bath. Soaking in it could not only drive away fatigue but also strengthen the body and enhance its potential. There would be no need to wait for the body to recover by itself like this, let alone waste three days. Long-term exercise without proper recovery could easily result in dark injuries.

And for him now, time was the most precious thing. If he had to rest after every workout, how much time would he waste? If things continued this way, how long would it take for him to become stronger? To have the power to take revenge?

"What should I do? Is there any way to make me recover quickly?" Lucien frowned as he pondered, feeling like there was a solution he was just overlooking.

"What is it?" He thought hard, rifling through his memories.

Suddenly, a light bulb went off!

"Yes! The Paw Fruit!!!" Lucien finally realized. Wouldn't the Paw Fruit given to him by the novice gift pack be incredibly helpful to his current situation?

In the original work, the ability of the Paw Fruit allowed the user to eject the concept of exhaustion and pain from their body. Wasn't that exactly what he needed right now?

The only question was: Could he, who had only just eaten the Devil Fruit, manage to eject the concept of exhaustion and pain?

With this question in mind, Lucien extended his palm and silently began to channel the ability of the Paw Fruit...

He watched as his right hand slowly began to bulge, eventually forming something that resembled a cat's paw. It wasn't scary at all; in fact, it was quite cute.

When Lucien fully activated the ability of the Paw Fruit, he felt as though the world had completely changed in front of his eyes! It was an indescribable sensation.

He felt as though the entire world had transformed into a swirling mass of colorful gases, twisting and intertwining. These gases mixed and merged, forming the world around him!

It was profound! So complicated!

Just glancing at it made Lucien dizzy. He couldn't comprehend what the colors meant, but he instinctively knew they were beyond his understanding for now. These colors might just be the embodied form of concepts, manifesting in a way his current mind couldn't fully grasp.

Lucien shifted his gaze downward, and to his astonishment, his own body seemed to be composed of countless colorful gases as well. Was this the embodiment of concepts? His body was a collection of countless concepts. But where was the concept of exhaustion?

Just as this question arose, a strange insight flooded his mind! This strange perception guided his focus, and his gaze locked on a reddish gas within his body. He instinctively knew that this was the concept of exhaustion he was experiencing at that moment!

He slowly stretched out his palm, which was shaped like a paw, and gently pressed it to his chest.

"Boom!"

There was a sound, like a bubble bursting.

The reddish gas, which represented exhaustion, was ejected from his body with a flick of his palm.

As the concept of exhaustion separated from his body, Lucien felt an indescribable sense of relief, as if he had just unloaded a heavy burden. All the discomfort and fatigue dissipated, and the exhaustion that had clung to his body disappeared.

A fist-sized bubble hovered over Lucien's palm, containing the reddish gas that had once represented exhaustion.

Now, Lucien felt better than ever. With the concept of exhaustion now separated from him, the physical damage from his gravity training had also been instantly repaired!

He didn't fully understand how this worked, but he knew that with the concept of exhaustion separated from his body, the "effect" formed by his physical injury also broke away. The "cause" of the injury—his exhaustion—had disappeared.

"I need to transmit this concept of exhaustion to other creatures; otherwise, it will return to my body," Lucien thought as he looked at the concept of exhaustion in his hand. He paused for a moment and then set his course toward the sea.

When he stepped onto the beach and dipped his ankle into the water, his ability to sense the sea activated. Instantly, he was aware of the vast sea area around him. He selected a sea spirit beast and activated his power to summon it.

Before long, a fin appeared in the distance, followed by a large shark that gradually swam closer, eventually stranding itself on the beach.

This was a hundred-year-old shark spirit beast, its large fangs and fierce eyes bared. But due to the influence of the Mermaid Princess Martial Soul, it had been forced to remain here.

Lucien approached the shark, holding the reddish gas in his palm, and gently pressed it into the shark's body.

In an instant, the concept of exhaustion dissolved into the shark!

The shark froze for a moment, its tail flopping up, and then it slumped back down, lying sickly on the beach. Its eyes no longer glowed with ferocity, but with exhaustion—like a creature that had been through a brutal battle.

Seeing this, Lucien nodded in satisfaction. This was exactly what he needed. By transferring the concept of exhaustion from his body to another creature, he ensured that it wouldn't return to him. If he stopped exerting control, the concept would inevitably find its way back to him.

"Goodbye," he said, waving at the century-old shark spirit beast and sending it on its way.

He turned and walked away, feeling like an indifferent figure who tossed aside what he no longer needed.

As night began to fall, Lucien returned to his humble wooden hut. He lit a fire and sat down cross-legged, closing his eyes to begin meditation.

Meditation was incredibly draining and couldn't replace sleep. After about two hours, Lucien woke from his meditative state. He stretched his limbs and walked into the wooden house to rest.

The hut was simple, with open spaces for ventilation, just enough to protect against the rain. The bed was rudimentary, with wooden strips tied to tree trunks and some hay spread across them.

Lucien didn't care. He collapsed onto the bed, his sea-blue eyes slowly closing as his body gradually relaxed. The exhaustion he felt wasn't physical, but mental. The past few days had been a whirlwind of changes, and the weight of it all had left him mentally drained.

As he fell asleep, he let go of all thoughts and allowed himself to recover.

It was the best form of healing.
