Watching the scene of Zephyr going to Lucien, Eleven's smile instantly stiffened.
He had been standing at the front of the Guides, arrogantly waiting for Zephyr to approach after ordering everyone else to step aside. He had even been prepared to scoff the moment Zephyr reached him.
Yet just as Zephyr came close enough to the area where the Guides were, he simply veered away, leaving Eleven standing there with his smug smile frozen on his face.
Eleven's expression turned ugly.
His arrogance vanished, replaced by a mixture of disbelief and irritation. After all that posturing, Zephyr had not even been coming toward him in the first place!
His jaw clenched tightly in shame.
Just now, he had acted as though he were the only one capable of handling Zephyr.
Yet Zephyr had not come to him at all.
Instead, he had completely ignored him.
