Next day.
Ryu got up early because he had to head to school, unfortunately.
He left Vali back at his place, not bothering to wake him up since he'd get pretty cranky in the morning.
So instead he drew on a funny little moustache on his face.
Ryu chuckled at his handiwork and walked out of his house, and went to school.
Today would be the day when the parents of many students would come to school, something like an open day.
Azazel would be here as well since he got permission from the devils, Ryu wasn't looking forward to that.
Who knows what Azazel might pull, considering his somewhat troublesome personality and eccentricity.
Whatever he pulled, Ryu was hoping it wouldn't embarrass him. Cause that would be... pretty fucking bad.
Anyways, Ryu finally got to school and walked inside his classroom.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The class went by as it normally would, except for the fact that most of the parents stood at the back of the class, some were recording their children and whatnot.
And yes... Azazel was here with a very high quality camera recording and taking pictures of each and every movement Ryu made.
Akeno's dad was here too, Rias's parents were here along with his older brother.
Rias shifted frantically in her seat as class went on, because her parents were even worse than Azazel...
Each of them held a camera towards her and recorded countless videos.
Akeno was mostly unbothered really, her dad was doing the same as every other parent would but she didn't really mind.
Ryu at first didn't mind it but when he heard clicks and everything coming from Azazel's camera it began to slightly grate on his nerves.
The class finally finished after some time, the teacher dismissed the class.
Ryu got up and stretched, then he turned towards Azazel who now was busy chatting up someone's single mom.
Ryu's jaw opened in disbelief, did this guy come here for him or did he come here to chat up single moms?
Ryu shook his head, his uncle was a playboy. A very old, practically ancient playboy.
Ryu just walked out of the classroom, he didn't disturb his uncle's... business, or wooing campaign or something. Whatever it was.
He decided to head down to Issei's class, since he had nothing better to do.
The class was pretty crowded, most of them were crowding Issei's desk.
Ryu walked inside the class and walked over to what Issei's desk curious about what the commotion was.
"What on earth..." he muttered looking at the figure on his desk.
It was a clay figure of Rias Gremory, each and every detail was perfect, including the hair, the clothes the facial expression almost everything was identical to the original Rias. It was such a good one that you wouldn't be able to tell the real Rias from this one if the clay one wasn't made of clay.
"I'll give you 5000 yen for this piece!" A black-haired guy with glasses shouted.
"It ain't for sale, it's mine." Issei spoke, guarding the figure.
Then his eyes glanced up and met Ryu's, "Oh! Ryu what're you doing here?"
Ryu let out a sigh, "My uncle is occupied at the moment so I decided to come down here, but it looks like you're having some trouble as well, guess I'll head out."
Issei nodded, "See you around!"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryu decided to just walk around school.
Rias was with her parents, Akeno was with her dad and his uncle was probably still busy with things.
He looked around the entire school, saw all his peers hanging out with their parents and... he couldn't help but feel sad.
He let out a deep sigh and walked out of the school and into the open field where the tennis field and such were, he laid down on the grass underneath a tree and began to reminisce about his childhood.
He remembered his father Kokabiel, how they used to hang out after training, how they used to have fun like a normal father and son.
He couldn't help but shed a few more tears.
"I miss you... dad." he muttered to himself and wiped the tears from his eyes.
He didn't know how long he laid there on the grass, he was broken out of his thoughts by the sound of approaching footsteps.
He glanced to the side and noticed Akeno walking towards him with a smile.
"What are you doing here Ryu?" She asked, taking a seat next to him.
"Nothing, just... needed a breath of fresh air, that's all." Ryu answered, looking away from her.
"Hmmm... then, you won't mind if I stay here with you." She laid down on top of him, putting her head on his chest.
Ryu wrapped his arms around her.
They stayed in silence for a minute, "Hey, Ryu."
Akeno broke the silence.
"What is it?" Ryu asked.
"Tell me... what's bothering you?"
Ryu didn't answer her for a while, but... he still gave in.
"I just... miss my dad." Ryu answered with a strained smile.
"Oh." Akeno nodded in understanding, she knew exactly how painful losing family was.
Then there was silence between the two once more.
Then it was Ryu's turn to talk, "Hey, Akeno."
"Yes?"
"...I love you." Ryu said to her, his voice full of affection.
Akeno blushed slightly and a beautiful smile stretched across her lips.
"I love you even more." She answered, then she crawled up on his body and kissed him.
Akeno wrapped her hands around him, and Ryu's hands tightened around her waist.
None could describe just how much passion and love there was between the two.
Then they separated to catch their breath.
Ryu gazed into Akeno's purple eyes, completely mesmerized by the beauty he saw in them.
While Akeno gazed into his dark eyes, her heart and soul taken by the pitch black eyes that belonged to her lover.
"So this is where you two were." A voice interrupted their very romantic moment.
Akeno and Ryu glanced towards the source of the voice and noticed Koneko standing there, munching on chocolate.
"Let's go, the meeting is happening and you two are supposed to be there." Koneko informed them.
Akeno reluctantly got off of Ryu, but before she did that she whispered, "We will continue later..." She said with a small smile.
Ryu nodded rapidly, then got up on his feet and dusted himself off.
"Alright, let's go and see what the big kids are talking about." Ryu smiled.
"Pff... 'Big kids'." Akeno giggled at the thought, "You aren't too far off."
Koneko said she had somewhere else to be because of Rias' orders.
The two of them made their way back into school and went towards the room where the faction leaders were.
Ryu opened the door and stepped inside.
In the room there was a large table, 4 chairs on which the leaders of the three factions sat.
Archangel Michael, a handsome blonde man with a kind smile and very gentle eyes.
Serafall Leviathan. Basically Sona if she was older and had twin tails, they really resembled each other.
Sirzechs Lucifer. Everyone's favorite sis-con, basically the male version of Rias Gremory.
And of course... Azazel 'The Fallen', he sat on his chair and was digging in his ear, completely abandoning all decorum.
Behind Azazel there was Vali, Baraqiel, Mittlet, Kalawarner, Dohnaseek and Raynare as well. Mitlet was waving at Ryu excitedly, while Kalawarner and Dohnaseek were smiling, Raynare was standing uncomfortably.
Ryu noticed why immediately, Issei from the other side was giving him a mean glare. Same with Asia really.
And Behind Michael there was the exorcist girl, Irina Shidou.
"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. Ryu." Michael greeted him, "I've long wanted to make your acquaintance."
Ryu gulped, "It's... a pleasure to meet you as well, Lord Michael."
"Ryu, stop wasting more time. Come over here." A familiar voice interrupted him, it was Vali who was standing behind Azazel with his arms crossed.
Ryu mumbled something underneath his breath, went over and stood beside him.
Akeno went over and stood where Rias was.
"Alright then, now that everyone's gathered... shall we begin?" Azazel spoke with a smirk, he leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table.
"Exercise some manners first, brother." Michael scolded him, Azazel ignored him completely though.
Sirzechs leaned forward, "Alright, let me introduce you. This is my sister, Rias Gremory and her peerage." Sirzechs introduced them.
Not like they needed any, they all knew who they were.
"They fought against Kokabiel in battle the other day, alongside... Ryu." Sirzechs' voice strained on that last part as he glanced up at Ryu, it might've been a sore subject since well... because of their relationship as father and son.
Ryu just nodded.
"Now then... you had some important information to share, didn't you? Azazel." Michael turned towards him.
Azazel nodded slowly, "Yeah."
"You have our undivided attention." Michael said.
Azazel sighed, "Kokabiel was... being controlled by someone. Or, more like forced to do someone's bidding against his will."
"And you know this... how?" Serafall questioned.
Azazel turned towards Ryu, "My precious nephew here, had an encounter with someone the other day and... let's say he managed to get some information out of them."
Ryu scoffed, "I didn't get anything out of them, that fucking bastard told me himself, said it was for 'motivation'... I'm certainly motivated to tear them to shreds, that's for sure."
Azazel laughed out loud, "I'm right with you on that one."
"Anyways, back to topic. The person we encountered was someone called 'Wyrm' or Ryuko as he likes to be called, something of a childhood friend of mine... from that place. The place were some rogue exorcists kidnapped children to force them to become weapons." Ryu explained, then his eyes turned towards Michael, "The place that was being operated right under your nose, Lord Michael."
Michael nodded slowly, "I apologise for my negligence when it comes to the matters of the church... but I promise you that after this day, I'll make sure to fix all the mistakes and clean up all those who are unworthy." He spoke sternly.
Ryu nodded, "I hope no one else has to go through what I did."
"Continue with the topic at hand please." Serafall spoke, crossing her arms.
"Right, apologies. Ryuko is a part of an organization, I don't know the name or their purpose. But they were the ones who forced Kokabiel to attack Kuoh, they were the ones who created the situation where I was forced to take the life of my own father."
Ryu clenched his fists, "The purpose of Kokabiel's attack was... to show the old generation that the three factions could stand together. In his letter... he said that the factions must unite. 'Pure, once pure and the impure must join together to stand a chance, otherwise death is certain."
"...That is... certainly ominous." Sirzechs muttered, "So the goal of that organization was to get the three of us to ally with each other? But why?"
"To get rid of you all in one fell swoop."
Author's note: Finally! It's happening!
