Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Simulator, Activate!

Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!

Under the pale glow of the blood moon, a small figure stumbled through a sea of corpses, running helplessly for his life.

"Don't kill me, Uchiha Itachi—ahhh!"

Suddenly, his foot slipped. A severed arm lying across the road caught his ankle, sending him crashing into a pool of blood.

"No! Please! I-Itachi—gah!"

Despair descended like a storm.

With the caw of crows echoing overhead, a tall, slender figure opened his crimson eyes and silently appeared before the child.

A flash of steel. Cold, white light. Then blood sprayed from a severed neck.

His eyes… they were completely indifferent, as if he hadn't slain a human being, but something utterly beneath him—like livestock.

The child's head rolled to the ground, tumbling several times before coming to a stop.

Uchiha Kirin stared blankly at the small, fragile body—the body that was his own.

The blood-red moon bathed the Uchiha compound, now a field of death, in an eerily festive glow.

Because tonight… was the night that man's little brother finally awakened his Sharingan.

...

[Ding! All 10 trial simulations have been used. Please make your choice:]

[Bind the Simulator now]

[Cancel. Never bind]

The horrific vision slowly faded away, and a semi-transparent screen appeared before Uchiha Kirin's eyes.

Uchiha Kirin had transmigrated into the world of Naruto three years ago. He'd been reborn in the body of a newborn orphan from the Uchiha clan.

But unlike in the stories, he hadn't awakened any sort of cheat system for three whole years—until tonight.

Out of nowhere, a mysterious system calling itself a "Simulator" had appeared in his mind, granting him ten trial simulations.

Each one plunged him straight into the night of the Uchiha massacre.

At first, he held on to the naive belief that even shinobi were human—no matter how strong, even someone like Hashirama Senju could die to a kunai. So he tried to fight back against Uchiha Itachi.

But death after death, despair upon despair, shattered that foolish hope. He tried everything—fighting, fleeing, begging for mercy, even faking his death by slashing his own throat...

Over and over again.

But not once had he survived.

"I thought being reborn with Uchiha blood would mean I was destined for greatness... but now…"

Uchiha Kirin looked down at his tiny frame—still far too young for the Academy.

He was only three years old. Just barely three, damn it.

"…Guess there's no choice now. Desperate times call for desperate measures."

"System—I choose to bind!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, the voice from before returned.

[Ding!]

[User confirmed. Binding in progress… Binding complete.]

[Welcome to the Simulator, provided by the Transmigrator Management Bureau, Unit 9527!]

"Uh… hey, System? What exactly do you do?"

The moment binding was complete, Kirin found himself briefly dazed.

He'd waited so long for this moment that he nearly forgot how to string words together. It took him a while before he could even manage to ask the question.

[Ding! This system exists to assist the host through the early stages of survival.]

[Ding! The system simulates future events and grants rewards based on the host's actions in the simulation.]

"A simulator, huh? Like those cheat systems in webnovels where you can draw overpowered traits and break the game during simulations? But… how do I actually use it?"

The cold, mechanical voice in his head confirmed it wasn't a dream. Hope sparked again within Kirin as he lowered his voice to ask the key question.

[Ding! For now, only the basic simulation function is available. Trait draws are not yet enabled.]

[Ding! The host may access the system panel simply by willing it open.]

"…Self-exploration, huh? Wait—what should I even call you?"

[Ding! You may refer to me as 'Assistant' or simply 'System'.]

It was deep into the night. Kirin nodded silently, walked to the washbasin, and splashed cold water on his face. After drying off and repeating the process several times, he finally shook off the daze of semi-dreamlike confusion.

He checked that the door and windows were secure, then sat cross-legged with a kunai in hand, staring into the mirror. Once his nerves calmed, he willed the system panel to appear.

[Simulator]

[User: Uchiha Kirin]

[Strength: 5]

[Speed: 7]

[Endurance: 4]

[Spirit: 15] (Average adult ninja = 10)

[Chakra: Not yet refined]

[Nature Affinities: Fire, Wind]

[Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan (Inactive)]

[Combat Skills: Basic Taijutsu, Throwing Techniques]

[Simulation Points: 1]

"…Well, that's certainly minimalist. Almost feels primitive."

Still, for a three-year-old, those were surprisingly decent stats. Not bad for someone with Ōtsutsuki blood.

Using the mirror's reflection, Kirin confirmed that only he could see the screen. He exhaled softly, finally letting his guard down a little.

Remembering how every trial had ended in gruesome failure, Kirin now had one burning question in his mind: the exact date of the Uchiha massacre.

If he couldn't survive the night, maybe he could at least prepare for it.

"Please let there still be time…"

Without hesitation, Kirin tapped on the number "1" next to Simulation Points.

A ripple spread out from the touch, invisible yet tangible.

Kirin glanced around curiously, but nothing in his surroundings had changed. The screen vanished—and a new dialog box appeared in its place.

Words began to form.

Kirin narrowed his eyes, focusing intently, not daring to miss a single word.

[Simulation Start]

Midnight (12:00 AM)You don't know exactly when the massacre will begin. But Shisui's death has already spread through the clan these past few days. With your knowledge of the story, you know it's not far off.

After struggling with the decision, you knock on Granny Yukina's door and claim to have had a prophetic dream—revealing Uchiha Itachi's betrayal.

1:00 AM Granny Yukina, head of the orphanage, tries to soothe you. She says it was just a nightmare and sends you back to bed.

2:00 AM Lying in bed, sleep evades you. Then you hear the rusty orphanage gates creak open. Peeking through the window, you catch a glimpse of Yukina's robe fluttering in the wind as she leaves.

3:00 AM Relieved that she might be going to warn someone, you finally fall asleep.

...

10:00 AM You wake up feeling more rested than you've been in days. Since news of Shisui's death broke, you haven't had a single peaceful night.

11:00 AM After washing up, you remember that Granny Yukina has gone out. Not the first time. You fish a few coins from under your bed and prepare to buy breakfast in the market.

12:00 PM (Noon) You finish lunch and pack up leftovers to share with the other orphans back home. But on the way back, you run into—

Uchiha Kazuki.

Kazuki, age six, is the "king" of the kids in this district. He's expected to enter the Academy this year, and he's naturally stronger than most. At just six, he's already mastered basic taijutsu and can even defeat some of the scrawnier Academy students. Barring surprises, he's almost certainly a future taijutsu specialist.

He blocks your path, face twisted with rage.

The reason? Yesterday, you beat his little brother, Uchiha Rikuto, in a game of ninja tag.
