With that, the system screen disappeared, and Karolo was now on his own. Because of that, Karolo looked around and saw a familiar object lying by the tree: his backpack from his previous life. He was stunned and grabbed it, opening it by unzipping it. It contained most of his personal, everyday stuff like a laptop, notebooks, and pens. But for the gadgets, their chargers are now gone because magic now powers them.
And then, towards that, the system screen appeared again and explained to Karolo that this was possible thanks to it being a gift to him and a byproduct of choosing the Tech ability. Karolo was stunned again, and the system screen disappeared again.
Karolo then accepted it and grabbed the backpack, wearing it on his back. He then went on his journey across this new world. Along the way, he thought that this world would be purely medieval and traditional. But it was quite debunked when he saw train tracks in front of him, running from southwest to northeast. "What the…?" he thought. "Train tracks? What trains? Steam or modern ones?"
Luckily, these train tracks, like the rest of the train tracks, were barred with fences made of metal and wood to prevent anyone from crossing over them and getting run over by an oncoming train. But there were pedestrian bridges and road crossings that allowed crossing over and across the rails. And then, a high-speed train passed by, and Karolo was astonished to see that. "That's a modern train!"
The train went in a northeastern direction, and wanting to see where it went, Karolo ran and followed its direction, hoping for a nearby station.
