Daniel sat rigidly on the closed toilet seat, the small bathroom feeling like a shrinking box. He held his phone tightly, reading the 'Introduction and Guide' for the fifth time. His breathing was still a bit uneven, but he had calmed down significantly. The words swiped past before his eyes, but the core message was clear.
Money Hack is a platform that does exactly what the name implies; Hack the Economic system. It uses advanced blockchain technology to utilize a percentage of the computing power of 90% of the world computers, giving it the power it needs to perform its task.
Money Hack is remotely connected to most Forex and Crypto trading platforms. With its computing power and division of labor, it is able to predict the market with 99.9% accuracy, or even trade directly, needing little to no input from the user(s). The algorithm is even able to trade 'on credit', using virtual money to trade and putting it back once the money is earned, more like an interest and collateral free loan.
Money Hack can also serve as a digital international account, with cloaking abilities able to disguise as any banking platform, and able to hide from anything ranging from private groups to government institutions. It can transfer to anywhere in the world from anywhere in the world.
Money Hack has an advanced algorithm, that can perform tasks hundreds of times better than the average A.I, the only thing it cannot do is have conversations.
Congratulations, Dan! You are the first user of Money Hack, and so have all the administrative authority. You may use Money Hack as you like! However, there are limitations.
The money withdrawn from Money Hack must not exceed $10,000,000 (Or its equivalent in other currencies) daily for a single user. The amount of money that can be 'borrowed' at any one time must not exceed $1,000 (Or its equivalent in other currencies). The money that can be sent from Money Hack in a day for each user cannot exceed $20,000,000.No other user apart from the Administrator (first user) can add anyone to Money Hack. The Administrator can modify Rule 1 and 2, as well as the U.I of Money Hack, and choose what to show the other users.
Once again, congratulations, and happy Hacking!
A wild grin stretched across Daniel's face. He felt dizzy, still grasping the possibilities swirling in his head. Administrator rights? Modifying rules? Daily withdrawal limits in the millions of dollars? It was insane. Illogical, and insane.
He finally stood up, legs still a bit shaky, and walked back into the sitting room. His mother had gone out, probably to visit her friend nearby. Elizabeth was watching a Nollywood movie on their TV, occasionally glancing at him. His wide smile must have looked suspicious.
"Why are you laughing like that?" she asked with slight curiousity. "Abi you finally got a girlfriend?"
Daniel chuckled. "You wouldn't understand Liz. Even if I told you."
She shrugged, turning back to the movie. "Okay oh. Sha, if you're chatting with a girl, I will tell Mummy."
He waved a dismissive hand, his mind already back on the app. He needed privacy. He walked quickly into the bedroom he shared with Elizabeth – two single beds, a shared wardrobe, and a small reading table occupying the space. He closed the door and flopped onto his bed, the springs creaking ever so slightly.
Phone clutched like a lifeline, he left the intro screen. The main interface was simple. A large balance display (still showing NGN 0.00 – the app had detected his location and adjusted the currency). Below it were icons: 'Account', 'Borrow Capital', 'Forex Trading', 'Crypto Trading', 'Transfer', 'Settings'.
His heart pounded in his ribcage. He had to test it. He had to know if it was real. The 'Borrow Capital' feature seemed like the safest place to start, so he tapped the icon.
A new screen opened, equally plain. A simple input field labeled 'Input Amount (Max NGN 820,000)'. The app had automatically converted the $1,000 limit to Naira at the current approximate rate.
Start small, his reason told him. Don't attract attention. Just see if it works.
He hesitated, then typed '5000' into the field. Five thousand Naira. Enough for a decent meal out, or several weeks' worth of airtime. A tangible amount, but not life-changing if it failed or triggered some kind of alert. He tapped 'Confirm'.
A small loading animation spun for a few seconds. Then, a notification popped up within the app: 'NGN 5,000 successfully credited to your main account as borrowed capital.'
He quickly tapped back to the main 'Account' screen. The balance display now read: NGN 5,000.00.
Daniel pumped his fist silently, biting back a whoop of excitement. It worked. Step one worked. The money was there, digitally at least.
Now for step two: making profit.
Without further hesitation, he moved right on the icons, landing on 'Crypto Trading'. Several options appeared: 'Manual Trade', 'Automatic Trade', 'Market Analysis'. He selected 'Automatic Trade'.
The next screen asked for the capital to allocate ('Use Borrowed Capital' was an option, which he selected, dedicating the full N5,000), the risk level (Low, Medium, High – he chose Medium), and a time limit.
'Time limit…' He thought for a moment. His mild OCD kicked in. He wanted a clear result. 'Let's see exactly what it can do in one hour.' He set the timer for 60 minutes and tapped 'Start Trading'.
A confirmation appeared: 'Automatic Crypto Trading initiated with NGN 5,000. Duration: 60 minutes. Risk Level: Medium.'
He exited the trading screen. The main balance still showed NGN 5,000, but there was likely a separate trading balance he couldn't see directly yet.
He set his phone down on the bed beside him, his hands trembling slightly. It took all he had to calm himself down. Sixty minutes. Sixty minutes to potentially see proof that this impossible app was real.
His mind raced. Passwords. He needed a much stronger password for both the app and his new burner email. He quickly went into the app's settings and changed the password to a complex mix of letters, numbers, and symbols he mentally rehearsed. He did the same for the Gmail account through his phone's browser. Security first.
He resisted the urge to constantly check the trading progress. He knew rationally that watching it wouldn't make it go faster or be more successful, but there was always that urge. He forced himself to lie back on the bed, staring at the ceiling fan spinning lazily. Thoughts bombarded him: telling his mum, buying things, getting admission without worrying about fees, travelling abroad… The possibilities were endless, terrifying, exhilarating.
"Dan!!! Daniel!"
His mother's voice cut through his reverie from the compound. He snapped back to reality.
"Ma?" He quickly got up, smoothed his shirt, and stepped out of the bedroom just as she entered the flat, carrying a small nylon bag. She must have returned from her friend's place.
"You've just been pressing phone inside room since morning," she said, her tone mildly reproachful but not angry. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
Normally, he might have mumbled an excuse. But today felt different. A surge of confidence, fueled by the secret buzzing on his phone, filled him.'
"I was trading, Mummy," he answered, his voice clear and steady.
She paused, looking at him curiously. "Trading? Like stock market?"
He grinned, unable to help himself. "Something like that. You won't understand the details now, Mummy, but just know… just know your son is going to become a millionaire soon!"
Sarah stared at her son, searching his unusually bright eyes. He seemed different today, more confident and purposeful. Was it just youthful boasting, or was he assured? She couldn't tell. But his confidence made her pause her usual lecture.
"Okay oh, just be careful."
Daniel nodded happily. "I will, Ma. I promise."
While Elizabeth helped their mother unpack the small items she bought and start preparations for dinner – the familiar scent of onions frying began to fill the flat – Daniel glanced at the clock on the wall. 6:45 PM. The hour had passed. More than an hour, actually.
His heart started pounding again. This was it. The moment of truth.
Excusing himself, he retreated back to the bedroom, closing the door gently. He picked up his phone, his palm slightly sweaty again. He took a deep breath and opened the Money Hack app, going straight to the 'Account' screen.
He stared at the balance.
Balance: NGN 3,250.00
A cold wave of disappointment washed over him. N3,250? It had lost almost N1,800. Not gained. Lost.
His shoulders slumped. The impossible promises, the administrator rights, the billions… it was all just a sophisticated scam, wasn't it? A fancy interface designed to trick fools like him. Maybe it hadn't stolen his data yet, but it was clearly useless for making money. He felt a bitter taste in his mouth.
'So after all that… just another fake app.'
He sighed, feeling incredibly foolish. But then, something came to his memory. The 'Borrow Capital' feature. It traded 'on credit', putting the virtual money back once earned. Did that mean…?
His fingers fumbled slightly as he moved back to the 'Borrow Capital' menu and tapped on 'Transaction History'. A single entry was listed:
'Borrowed: NGN 5,000.00 | Status: PAID'
He gasped. PAID.
It had already repaid the borrowed 5k. Which meant the N3,250 currently showing in his account… that was pure profit. Made in just one hour, from nothing.
A happy smile chasing away the disappointment. It wasn't a loss; it was a gain of over three thousand Naira!
'One small step for Daniel, one giant leap for Danielkind!' He thought childishly.
He quickly calmed himself down, though. One final test remained. The money was in the app, yes. But could he actually get it? Could he withdraw it to a real account? Everything was meaningless without that.
He tapped the 'Transfer' icon, then selected 'Withdraw Funds'. It asked for bank details. He chose OPay from the list of options and carefully entered his phone number linked to his OPay account and his full name. He entered the withdrawal amount: NGN 3,000. Leaving N250 in the app felt safer for some reason. He triple-checked the details and hit 'Confirm Withdrawal'.
A message popped up: 'Withdrawal initiated. Funds should reflect within 60 seconds.'
He held his breath, staring intently at his phone's notification bar. Seconds ticked by, each one feeling like an eternity…
DING!
The distinctive OPay notification sound chimed through the quiet room. He swiped down the notification bar.
OPay: Credit Alert! Amount: NGN 3,000.00 received from MH_System_Transfer.
Daniel stared at the notification, then back at the app, then back at the notification. Excitement rippled through his being.
'It's real. Holy shit, it's real!'
