Chapter 7 - Dark

Outside Noel's House

Noel: "AHH—ghost!!" 😱😱

She froze…

The shadow didn't move.

Noel: "…Why are you not moving?" 😶

She tip-toed closer, poked it—

Noel: "…Oh.

It's just a post box." 😑

She sighed.

Noel: "Looks like the neighbors placed it in the afternoon.

At least they noticed the area's clean now. Good." 😊

She stretched her arms tiredly.

Noel: "Hope that king found a place to stay.

If he did… good for him."

Just when she reached for her door, her phone rang.

Noel: "Huh? Who now?"

sees caller

"Oh, librarian uncle."

She answered.

Noel: "Hello uncle 😊"

Librarian: "HELLO NOEL! WHERE ARE YOU?!" 😤

Noel: "Eh— I'm home? What happened?" 😨

Librarian:

"YOUR HUSBAND ISN'T LEAVING MY LIBRARY!" 😤

"He's been sitting here for SEVEN HOURS!"

"COME. TAKE. YOUR. HUSBAND. NOW." 😡

call cuts

Noel:

"…Husband?" 😶

"Wait— does he mean… HIM?" 😕

"Mr. King, what the hell are you doing there?!"

Noel dashed toward the library. 😱

Library

The librarian stood outside a dark side-room, furious.

Librarian: "Mister! Come out RIGHT NOW, or you will witness my true anger!" 😤

No response.

Inside…

no lights, no windows—

a room so dark that even shadows couldn't exist there.

And in that darkness sat Aaron.

Collapsed on the floor, knees pulled to his chest.

His face buried.

Shoulders shaking.

Silently crying.

The strong king…

reduced to a trembling, speechless young man.

He tried to cry quietly—

because men shouldn't cry, kings shouldn't cry, omegas shouldn't show weakness.

But the pain was too big for silence.

He looked like a child who lost his whole world.

A king who saw his own death.

A husband betrayed.

A friend stabbed from behind.

A future that destroyed him.

It was a hell he couldn't escape.

And he sat there, alone, choking on tears he didn't know how to stop.
