Everyone was waiting outside, and no one knew how much time had passed. Finally, the door of the operating room opened.
Felix quickly stepped forward. "Sister-in-law, how is it?"
"It's okay," Rowan quickly stepped up and hugged his wife, worried that she was too tired.
When Felix heard the words "it's okay," he didn't know how to respond. Was it successful or not?
The hospital director followed them out and looked at the two members of the Tang family. "The surgery was very successful. Now, you just need to wake up Commander Tang. If he has a strong desire to wake up, he'll regain consciousness soon."
After hearing this, both of them let out a sigh of relief. Grandpa Tang suddenly collapsed, but luckily, the guard quickly caught him.
"Grandpa, don't scare me!"
The guard nervously called out, "Sir!"
The director checked him and said, "It's nothing serious, just too nervous. Now that everything is over, he relaxed and fainted. Let him rest for a while."
After saying that, the director went to rest too. He was getting old and couldn't hold on much longer.
Soon, Grandpa Tang woke up and said to Sienna, "Girl, thank you."

In the car, Sienna suddenly said, "Oh no, husband, we forgot to write a letter home to let them know we're safe. Before we left, Mom told me to write her."
"We'll write it when we get back and send it tomorrow. Or we can send a telegram right away."
"Okay."
"Wife, since when did you get so close to my mom? She asked you to write her, and I didn't even know."
"Oh, I'm also close with Big Sister-in-law and Second Sister-in-law. They taught me a lot. Like looking through the books you read a lot, or checking clothes I don't wear anymore."
"Huh? Why? What's the point of that?" Rowan was confused.

The guard driving in front trembled when he heard this. He didn't expect Sienna to be so innocent, or Rowan's mom and sisters-in-law to be so tricky.

Rowan really wanted to say, "Because I, your man, never knew you could even hide money like that. I'm broke. All my money is given to you." But to keep his pride, he said, "Because all our money is already with you. You can check when we get back. I'm sure there's nothing."
Hearing this, Sienna looked disappointed. That meant she couldn't make Rowan kneel on the washboard, and she couldn't get any money. She wondered if just making him kneel might magically make money appear.
After thinking for a moment, Sienna said, "Husband, how about you kneel when we get back, just to check? Maybe the money will show up."
Xiao Zhao stopped the car. He didn't dare to keep driving. He was afraid he might crash because he couldn't hold it in anymore.

Seeing how Xiao Zhao looked, Rowan really wanted to kick him a few times, but he decided to go home first. He needed to calm his wife down and stop her from thinking the wrong way.
"Wife, didn't you say you would protect me? If I kneel on the washboard, I'll get hurt."

Mom, you really are my real mom. At that moment, Rowan felt very lucky he left early.

Soon, they arrived home. Rowan explained to Sienna why there was money. After hearing it, Sienna understood and didn't feel upset anymore.

The next day, they went to the army base again. Xiao Zhao drove them. Grandpa Tang and Felix still hadn't come home.
As soon as they arrived at the family housing area, something happened. Someone came over. Seeing the car at the door, a woman said, "Oh, I thought it was someone important. Turns out it's just someone with connections."
Rowan ignored her and took Sienna inside. Xiao Zhao helped carry things too. When the woman saw they ignored her, she felt embarrassed and came forward to push Rowan and Sienna.
"You people who use connections have no real skills. As soon as you arrive, you take other people's stuff. So shameless."
Sienna directly pushed her away. "Get lost."
Rowan said, "Whose things did I take? You better explain clearly today."
He didn't deny getting here through connections, but he still had confidence in his abilities.
"This house was supposed to be ours. It's all your fault!"
"Sister, if I remember right, this house belongs to the army. The army has the right to decide who gets to live in it."
"Why? Everyone is a battalion commander. My family has more kids. Why is your house bigger?"
Rowan didn't know how to answer that. As a battalion commander, living in a three-bedroom house with a yard was really generous.
Sienna said, "They gave it to us fairly. If you thought it was yours, why didn't you move in earlier? Now that we've moved in, you come and cause trouble."
"I don't care. I want to switch houses with you."

The woman got angry and started grabbing things from Rowan's hands and throwing them out.
When Sienna saw what she was doing, she rushed over, pushed the woman to the ground, and started pulling her hair and slapping her.
Rowan watched Sienna fight and felt the moves looked familiar. When did his wife learn to fight like that? Wasn't she usually the type to settle things with a punch and a kick?
Still, he quickly stepped in. "Wife, stop, don't hit her."
He tried to hold Sienna back, but the other woman took the chance to go for Sienna's face. Rowan immediately let go.
His wife getting hurt or hitting someone else's wife—he'd rather let her hit the other one. At least she wouldn't suffer.
Xiao Zhao saw what was happening and said, "Captain Rowan, break them up."
"How can I? I can't touch the other woman. Go call someone."
"Oh, okay, I will."
As soon as Xiao Zhao ran out, Rowan said, "Wife, stop now. Let's not fight anymore. We've let off some steam already."
