Chapter 55 - Plan

After obtaining Kiriya's consent, Rin Yuki quickly opened a portal and brought the Seitenshi and Kiriya to the area near her home.

Seitenshi glanced around, realizing they were now far from the shopping mall they'd been in earlier.

For Kiriya to travel such a long distance every day—blind, relying solely on her hearing—just to beg at that mall was nothing short of unbelievable.

When she voiced her astonishment, Kiriya simply smiled and explained:

"Even though I can't see, my ears work surprisingly well. I memorize the locations of the shops to figure out which staircase leads me into the mall."

"Then, I just retrace my steps back home!"

Though the girl made it sound effortless, the Holy Emperor (Seitenshi) couldn't shake off how grueling it must have been.

Even with exceptional spatial awareness and hearing, navigating such a route would've required relentless practice—Seitenshi could only imagine the hardships Kiriya faced during that process.

Soon, Kiriya led Yuki and Seitenshi into her home.

Her residence was nestled in a ruined district, long abandoned by everyone else. The only ones left here were Kiriya and her younger sister, Sayo.

"Sayo, I'm back!"

"Sister?"

A small girl with the same silver-white hair and crimson eyes slowly sat up from the bed, coughing weakly—clearly, she was ill.

When the door opened, Sayo immediately noticed her sister, along with a handsome young man and a beautiful woman.

Blinking in surprise, she asked, "Sister… are these guests?"

"Mhm!" Kiriya nodded gently.

"Hello, I'm Sayo, Kiriya's sister."

"If my sister has caused you any trouble… I apologize on her behalf."

"Cough—cough—!"

Despite her sickness, Sayo politely greeted Yuki and the Holy Emperor as she struggled to rise from the bed.

"No need to apologize. Your sister hasn't troubled us at all," Seitenshi replied with a soft smile.

After introductions were made—Seitenshi's identity was unmistakable, as even the Cursed Children knew of her, despite her reputation as a "figurehead"—Yuki mentioned that he could restore Kiriya's eyesight.

This left Sayo stunned.

In this world, the Gastrea virus granted the Cursed Children extraordinary abilities, but Yuki didn't resemble one at all.

How could he possibly heal her sister's blindness?

Without delay, Yuki erased the causal link behind Kiriya's self-inflicted blindness—the act she'd committed in a desperate attempt to stop her mother from leaving.

In the next moment, Kiriya's vision was restored.

Her expression froze. Slowly, she removed the cloth covering her eyes and lifted her eyelids, revealing twin rubies that shimmered under the faint light.

Like the first break of dawn tearing through darkness, sight flooded back into her world.

"I… I can see!"

Those were the only words she could choke out in her dazed excitement.

Hearing this, Sayo rushed forward to verify.

"Sister, how many fingers am I holding up?" She raised three fingers.

"Three!"

The moment Kiriha answered correctly, Sayo's eyes welled up. She threw her arms around her sister, trembling.

"Sister! You can see! You can finally see!!"

"Waaah—!!"

Tears streamed down Sayo's face as she clung to Kiriya, who was equally overwhelmed, clutching her sister tightly while drinking in the sight of her for the first time.

Ever since losing her sight, Kiriya had been unable to see what her little sister looked like now.

But with her vision restored, she realized Sayo had grown so much taller than she remembered.

Yuki and Seitenshi watched the scene with warm smiles, neither interrupting the sisters' tearful reunion.

Ten minutes later, after the two had finally calmed down, they turned their attention back to their guests.

Kiriya gazed at Rin Yuki and the Holy Emperor, her face lighting up with a sweet smile.

"Brother Rin Yuki and Sister Seitenshi are so pretty!"

"Thank you, Kiriya! You're very beautiful too!" Seitenshi replied kindly.

"Yeah! Kiriya's super cute, in my opinion!" Yuki added, ruffling her hair affectionately.

Kiriha's cheeks flushed pink, her joy overflowing.

"What about me?! Me too!"

"Sayo wants head pats too!"

Not wanting to be left out, Sayo hurried to Yuki's other side, looking up at him with pleading puppy-dog eyes.

"Of course! Sayo's just as adorable!"

Chuckling, Yuki reached over and gently patted her head as well.

Satisfied, Sayo beamed—but then she suddenly froze.

"Huh?! My sickness… it's gone?!"

"Silly little sister, of course it was Brother Rin Yuki's doing! Hurry up and thank him!" Kiriya scolded playfully.

"Thank you, Brother Rin Yuki!"

The little girl's face lit up with pure delight as she thanked him sweetly.

"No need for thanks," Yuki replied warmly.

"I get it now! Brother Rin Yuki must be an angel who came down to save us! Right?"

Sayo stared at him with wide, innocent eyes, her voice filled with absolute conviction.

Hearing this, Yuki let out a soft chuckle.

"That's right. I'm here to save girls like you and Kiriya."

"But to others… I might seem more like a demon."

At that, the Holy Emperor couldn't help but nod in silent agreement.

With a snap of his fingers, Yuki transformed their crumbling house into a clean, fully repaired home. Then, with another wave of his hand, he conjured fresh bath supplies, delicious food, and beautiful new clothes.

He urged the two girls to go wash up, pick out their favorite outfits, and enjoy a hearty meal—after which, they'd leave with him and Seitenshi.

The two little girls happily agreed and immediately stripped down right in front of Yuki and Seitenshi before darting off to the bathroom.

Yuki coughed awkwardly at the sight, while the Holy Emperor, amused, sidled up next to him with a teasing grin.

"I never expected to see this side of you, Rin Yuki. Quite the eye-opener."

Yuki shot her a glare but didn't bother rising to the bait.

When the conversation turned serious, Yuki laid out his plans plainly.

His approach was simple: gather every Cursed Child across the globe—including those who had died in the past or were transformed into monsters during the experiments of Project 753—and restore them to their original forms. Alongside them, he would also shelter those who had helped the Cursed Children in their darkest times.

As for the wicked? They would face punishments far worse than death.

And in the end, Yuki himself would erase this planet and create a brand-new one—a fresh world where the Cursed Children and their allies could live freely.

Though Seitenshi had braced herself, the sheer scale of his plan still left her stunned.

Especially the final step—annihilating an entire Planet. How many lives would that erase?

Seeing her frown, Yuki spoke calmly. "What's wrong? Having second thoughts?"

"No." She shook her head. "I made my resolve long ago. There's no room for hesitation now."

"It's just…" Her voice softened. "The thought of you staining your hands with so much blood—it feels unfair. Unjust."

She turned to him, her gaze steady yet tender.

"So I've decided… I'll share this burden with you."

Taking his hand, her eyes burned with determination.

For a moment, Yuki was taken aback—then he smiled faintly and nodded.

Truthfully, he didn't care how many lives he ended. He was a man who followed his whims, after all.

A savior to some, a demon king to others.

But with the mood shifting like this, how could he refuse her?

As Seitenshi leaned in, her lips drawing closer, Yuki casually cut the live broadcast feed.

No need to risk agitating a certain Goddess of the Moon and stirring up drama among the group chat.

(T/N: Wtf?)
