Chapter 1 - Wake Up Call

Jenna who was once the CEO of a Huge Conglomerate has been assassinated by one of her trusted Associates. It was at her final moments that she realised, everyone who swarmed her for love was just fake and now, she seeks to overtake the throne which belonged to her .

In her final moments she saw 3 mysterious figures as she fell to her death.

She muttered

O Death May I Reborn as to be the judge for my enemies.

And she fell into her eternal sleep. Her enemies throw her frail body into the river,

She wore a dress without a horizontal waist seam, instead molded snuggly to the body by vertical seams and tucks, creating a body-hugging silhouette.

She stood afloat on the river with her pale skin, when a mysterious man arrived to see her in a helpless state.

He appeared with a top hat and picked her up. As he checked the pulse of her, it was still beating longing for survival.

At that moment he whispered in her ear;

Do you seek eternal life?

Jenna who was barely surviving mustered all her anger and will to move her pinky finger, it indicated a yes to the man.

Now I shall make you into one of my kind,

Spoke the man as he leaned towards her neck and with his canines he bit into her.

His blood spread across her veins, her memories revived once again, every cell in her body was consumed by the man's blood, her heart turns ice cold. She takes a huge sigh and her eyes open in a crimson red colour.

Her skin as white as snow, and her lips turn bright maroon. She was revived, not as a human but as a vampire.

She was woken up by the music of the pipe organ which echoed across the hall. Above her was a huge chandelier with candles lit above. She wondered where she was and tried to recall her incidents, her head still hazy tired to cope with her heightened senses.

She could hear the animals from a distance, her pupils changing shape to wide and round.

She could see the spiders crawling at the corner of the huge room feasting on the fly which got trapped.

Everything became slow around her, she looked around and saw a long table with golden finishing.

On it was a golden glass which appeared to have contained wine for her.

She quickly dashed towards it, it did not take a moment for her to reach her.

Jenna couldn't notice it since she was thirsty but what she did was blink towards the table, which could have taken 30 steps for a human.

She quickly gulped down the wine and wiped her mouth.

It is the best thing I've ever had for such a long time.

She hears the footsteps approaching towards her, it was a man who wore the habit à la française, which is composed of coat, waistcoat and breeches. It also included a pair of silk stockings, a jabot, a linen or cotton shirt with decorative cuffs, and a cravat (a neckcloth)

She could see that this man belonged to a wealthy family looking at his attire.

The man approached her and took the jug and poured more wine looking into his glass

"I hope you are aware of what you just consumed"

Said the manto Jenna who looked confused, for her it tasted like wine.

"I think you are mistaken here mister"

Replied Jenna as she looked at the man drink the wine from his cup. The man snapped his fingers and candles lit up across the room showing his face that seems almost otherworldly, as if chiseled from marble or crafted from moonlight, with an aura of mystery and danger that surrounds him, making him irresistibly attractive.

The man laughed and the hall became silent, the pipe organ stopped to play.

"Do you remember what has happened?"

Said the man to Jenna.

She could only remember a voice which whispered to her. She suddenly realised it was the same voice as the man who stood beside her.

"It was you!"

And she took a step back, It was something unnatural for a man to revive the dead.

She have heard of myths of a man who could revive the dead and drink the blood of humans, it was at that moment when she looked into the cup she drank, the remaining drops of the wine was blood.

She realised that she had consumed the blood of human, yet she did not fell anything about it. She realised she has turned into one fo them.

"I am a vampire, Aren't I?"

The man looked at her, she looked nervous,

Her slender frame seemed to vibrate with tension, her shoulders hunched and her hands clenched into fists. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her high heels clicking nervously on the floor. Despite her poised demeanor, her anxiety was palpable, like a living thing that wrapped itself around her.

He answered in a low tone as not to appear dangerous.

"Yea, but it's only for a temporary moment, to heal you."

She knew that, what she did not realise was that she would become an immortal, a creature which consumed human.

Her shoulders were squared, and her fists were clenched, conveying a sense of coiled power and restrained fury. Her jaw was set, and her teeth were gritted, as if she was biting back a torrent of emotions. Every muscle in her body seemed tensed, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

It's for the better since I can now take get back to the people who have stabbed me.

The man approached her and His eyes locked onto hers, piercing and intense, as he reached out a pale hand. His fingers brushed against her cheek, sending shivers down her spine. The touch was feather-light, yet it seemed to sear her skin like a brand.

He whispered into her ears in a low tone,

"Calm down now dear, for you are longer the weak you."

He takes his glass and looks at himself,

"My days are now counted, I haven't many days to live. As long as I remain I shall impart you all of my knowledge."

At that moment Jenna saw the most human emotion one can ever get, his eyes filled with inshed tears as he smiled at her.
