It had been two weeks since the Trial of Black Flame.Kael, Mikaho, and Fynn were back in training, but things had changed.
Everyone looked at them differently now. Some were scared. Some were jealous.But Kael didn't care. He wanted to become stronger… no matter what.
One night, while Kael was walking near the old part of the academy, he saw something strange.
A small piece of stone on the wall looked loose.
He pushed it.

A part of the wall moved… and a secret door opened.
There were no teachers around.
Kael looked around once.
Then stepped inside.
The Secret Room
It was dark and dusty. The air smelled old.
There were scrolls, books, and old weapons lying around.
In the middle of the room, Kael saw something covered in cloth.
He pulled the cloth off — it was a sword.
But this sword was different.
Its blade was black. Its handle had strange symbols.It felt like the sword was… alive.
He touched it.
Suddenly, he saw a flash in his mind.
A battlefield.Blood.Demons screaming.A boy… who looked like him, but older… holding the same sword.
Kael pulled his hand back, shaking.
"What was that?"
Then he heard footsteps outside.
He quickly covered the sword again and hid behind a shelf.
The door opened.
A teacher walked in — one of the strictest ones, Master Shin.
He looked around, then walked to a small box and opened it.
Kael couldn't see what was inside, but Master Shin looked… sad. Like he missed someone.
"Still watching me, old friend?" the teacher whispered to the box.
Then he closed it and left.
Kael waited a few minutes, then left the room quietly.
Next Morning
Kael told Mikaho everything.
She listened quietly, then asked, "Do you think that sword is cursed?"
Kael nodded slowly. "Maybe. But I also think it's connected to me."
Mikaho looked worried. "Kael… don't go back there alone again."
Kael didn't answer.
Because deep down, he knew he would go back.
He had to.
Somewhere Else
Ashen stood at the edge of a cliff, watching the sea. A strange wind blew from the east.
He closed his eyes.
"It's starting…"
