My eyes fluttered open, the white ceiling came into view. 'I can't believe I had the worst dream ever,' I thought inwardly, silently thanking God that I was awake.

The softness and warmth of the mattress made me want to sink back to sleep. But first, I have to look for my mom, that lady gets worried about every single thing.

The room wasn't large, but it was okay and cozy. Not seeing Samantha and others reinforced my belief that it was a dream.

I rose up from the bed, pain shot through my body, earning a groan from my lips.

My body went still when I saw a man with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes open the door and walk into the room. My brows furrowed, everything about him screamed power… violence… and lust.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" My voice trembled, I crawled inside the bed.

His gaze bored into me, before he scoffed. "You think you can run away from me, Ember? How does it feel now that you are reduced to nothing but a breeder?" he said with a smug on his face.

My heart skittered in my chest. My eyes blinked several times, unable to focus, I couldn't bring myself to believe this was real.

Maybe if I explained myself, or maybe if I stayed calm, then he might realize he'd got the wrong girl.

I jumped to the other side of the bed, creating distance between us. "Wait, I think there is a misunderstanding here…"

He took a step forward, slow and deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey.

I scrambled across the bed, my eyes darting to the door, the only escape I could see. A new hope surged within me. If I can get out of this room, maybe I'll find someone to help me. But before I could reach, he was already standing in front of me.

His hand held me by my neck, I whimpered from his suffocating grip.

"Trying to run away?" he mused as if he was playing catch and run.

"Please, there is a misunderstanding, let me go…" his hand tightened, choking the rest of the words out of me.

"I see you have turned feisty. What happened to scaredy cat? Huh?" He pressed his waist at me. I felt something poking my stomach.

'It can't be what I'm thinking right?'

My stomach churned from panic. But before I could process anything, he buried his head on my neck, his fangs scraping and licking my skin.

'Okay, this isn't an act anymore.' Dread ran through me, as the smell of his sweat and manly smell invaded my nostrils.

I froze, horror reflecting in my eyes. My lips quivered. Was this a punishment? A curse? Or have I stepped into a world that was built to break me? A hell?

"You will obey me," he growled. And my body shivered from his authority.

Then a memory of a girl being beaten, unheard, and scared flashed through my mind. This… this wasn't my memory. What the hell have I gotten myself into?

My lips quivered, as I shook my head in disbelief… Did I really transmigrate into this body?

He threw me into the bed, before he began to unbuckle his belt.

I stared in daze, my hands trembling from fear… but this wasn't the time to panic, I had to escape from this hell. My hand clenched on the sheet.

I tried to move further away from him, as he moved closer to me. But before the blink of an eye, his hand wrapped around my ankle, pulling me closer to himself.

My body screamed from the searing pain that shot through me. He pushed me to my knees. "Now, you'll do as I say," he ordered.

I clenched my fist at the insult, a disgrace. How dare he treat me like filth. I glared at him.

The next moment I saw stars, as his hand struck me on my face. Disbelief surged through me like blood through the veins. My lips broke from the impact, the metallic smell of blood filled the air.

"Over my dead body," I spit out the blood from my mouth. Never in my life has anybody treated me in this manner.

"I own you. Even if you are dead, I'm still going to use you as I see fit," he growled, his voice dripping with dominance and intent.

" That's what you deserve as a breeder. Very soon you give birth to my pups," he added.

Anger, shame, disbelief rushed through me, turning my skin pale. But I wasn't the type of girl who sits still and lets others push her around. I've always taken decisions into my own hands.

He forced his fingers against my lips, trying to make me yield.

AAAAARGHH!

He screamed, I clamped down hard with all the anger inside me. For a second I felt like I wasn't the prey, but the monster he didn't see coming. My eyes widened when the metallic taste of his blood poured into my mouth, some dripping from my lips, down to my chest. My heart pounded in my chest as if it wanted to jump out from its cage.

I don't know where I got the boldness from, was it the desperation? My shoulders trembled slightly.

He slapped me with his other hand, sending me flying across the room.

I quickly scrambled to my feet, panic setting in as I ran towards the door. However my feet stopped, I glanced back momentarily, staring at his pitiful, whining figure on the floor, his eyes turned gold and he stared right at me with so much anger, hatred, and revenge.

At that moment I knew I was done for. I bolted out of the room and flew down the stairs, with my heart pounding like a war drum.

Footsteps thundered behind me, my breath burned in my chest. I have no idea where I was running to, but thanks to the adrenaline rush, I felt no pain, only a feeling of survival.

I made my way into the open area. I saw people, they aren't people, but werewolves, right? Well, never mind, I ran as fast as my leg could carry me.

When I glanced back from my shoulder, I saw him. He was chasing after me, and other people—I mean werewolves—began to run after me.

A silent cry escaped from my mouth. Where can I find safety? Who can help me? My eyes searched around frantically.

And then, I saw two men, about to enter a car. One of them has a cold and terrifying aura, but this wasn't the time to be cautious.

I blurred through the area. When I got to where they were, "Excuse me…" I missed my footing, and I fell into the arms of someone colder than the nightmare behind me.
