Malin made his way to Rhaegal's quarters, his steps light, almost nervous. He paused at the door, hand hovering over the handle.
"Calm down, Malin. You're only cleaning. You're not doing anything wrong". He muttered to himself.
Malin had been in this room many times before, but today felt different. It was like he was finally seeing the real Lord Rhaegal — the walls around him slowly coming down. This was the room Rhaegal never let anyone enter except his butler, and now it was Malin's to take care of. The door creaked quietly as he stepped inside.
The living room was unchanged—plain furniture, plain walls, and dark curtains that added nothing but shadow. The bedroom was just as bare, holding only a bedframe and a thin quilt stretched over the mattress. Hardly the kind of place you'd expect for someone of Lord Rhaegal's stature.
