Chapter 62 - Large Plane Fragment (End)

Over the next few days, the two sides clashed in three more battles, each ending in a decisive victory for the coalition of gods.

These fierce confrontations cost the Gnoll forces tens of thousands of elite soldiers. In contrast, the coalition, bolstered by the support of elven priests and priests of light, advanced cautiously and strategically. Thanks to this discipline and care, their casualties remained minimal—just over 5,000.

Strangely enough, the number of ogre soldiers hadn't decreased. In fact, their ranks continued to swell. With monsters lurking all around, it wasn't difficult for them to call upon fresh warriors from the wilds. But sheer numbers could not make up for the plummeting quality of their forces. Their overall combat effectiveness was rapidly deteriorating.

Finally, during the fourth battle, the kobold leader realized the harsh truth. If things continued this way, his tribe's warriors would simply be ground to dust by the enemy. There would be nothing left.

So he made a desperate choice—calling upon every last resource, revealing his hidden cards, and preparing to gamble everything in one final, all-or-nothing clash.

The ultimate battle was at hand.

Victory or annihilation.

Nearly two thousand Earth Dragon Beasts thundered into the battlefield, led by three terrifying sixth-tier Earth Dragon Beast Kings. The sight of their massive, spiked forms shaking the earth as they charged was enough to send tremors through the coalition ranks.

Su Xingyu and Lin Ye wasted no time. They both fully unleashed their divine incarnations, burning divine energy like wildfire to forcefully suppress the monstrous beast kings. The pressure was immense, but with their combined might, they successfully pinned down a third of the Earth Dragon army.

The battlefield erupted into chaos.

Steel clashed with scale. Flame collided with divine light. The roar of spells and the cries of beasts shook the sky. The two sides battled savagely from dawn until dusk.

When the dust finally settled, the coalition of gods had emerged victorious.

Forty thousand enemy combatants lay dead, and nearly two hundred thousand prisoners had been captured.

As the monster remnants fled into the wilderness, the victors began tallying their spoils.

The bounty was staggering.

Several entire warehouses overflowed with rare resources—dragon blood grass, blood spirit flowers, magic herbs, and even red flame trees. Just the sheer volume of spiritual herbs was enough to shock every god present. The Gnoll Tribe's centuries-old hoard was beyond anything anyone had expected.

And that was only the beginning.

Precious metal ores filled crates, including some used in crafting gold-grade equipment. And as for blood crystal stones—there were tens of millions of them.

It was, without exaggeration, a fortune. They had all become rich overnight.

"According to the system's calculations, the contribution ratios are as follows: Yongye, 34.69%. Me, 32.23%. Lao Mo, 18.28%. Xingchen, 8.93%. Ke Xin, 4.94%. Black Star, 0.93%," Lin Ye announced, scanning the group. "Any objections?"

The others exchanged glances, then shook their heads. No one disagreed.

"Good. We'll divide the resources accordingly, and we'll deal with the prisoners afterward."

As soon as the resource distribution began, everyone's faces lit up. No one could hide their excitement. Even Su Xingyu, usually the calmest of them all, was visibly pleased. He had never seen so many resources in one place—not even during the peak of his Night Tribe's power.

Just the blood crystal stones alone earned him over 3.4 million units, a staggering sum that would fuel his tribe's growth for a long time.

Starting with the easiest resource to divide, everyone collected their share of blood crystals. One by one, they carted off their well-earned spoils.

Then came the matter of the prisoners.

The captives were divided based on contribution percentages. To simplify the process, they were categorized by class. At the top were the Earth Dragon Beasts and kobold warlocks—those imbued with the power of dragon veins and able to unleash devastating fire magic. Next were the dragon-blood kobolds and kobold priests. Beneath them were the rank-and-file kobold warriors and members of vassal tribes.

This distribution was not without tension. Everyone wanted more warriors to replenish their ranks. Even Zhang Kexin, goddess of the elves, and Lin Ye, the human god, joined the scramble.

The Earth Dragon Beasts, in particular, were highly coveted.

Each one was at least third-tier, covered in spiked shells and possessing immense durability. They were, in essence, the biological equivalent of heavy tanks. And being magical beasts, they could be accommodated into any tribe without issues.

No one wanted to give them up, so they were ultimately divided strictly according to the contribution shares.

The three mighty sixth-tier Earth Dragon Beast Kings, the strongest of all, naturally went to the three top contributors—Su Xingyu, Lin Ye, and Mo Kongwu.

Then came the dragon vein kobolds. Their sheer magical firepower had left a lasting impression on everyone, and now each god secured a few for their own ranks.

Once all the captives and materials were sorted, more than a dozen crystal mines still remained.

Though heavily mined over the years, these veins still contained substantial reserves. It would be a waste to abandon them.

But someone needed to extract them.

"I can't spare any more manpower," Lin Ye said first, shaking his head.

"Same here. The elves are few in number, and I haven't unified the nearby areas yet," Zhang Kexin added.

Fang Xingchen sighed, then offered a suggestion. "Why not leave the ordinary captives here to mine the rest?"

Lin Ye frowned. "It's not just the mines. The spiritual plantations need caretakers too. You know how these monsters behave. If no one keeps watch, they'll be fighting among themselves in a matter of days."

Everyone let out a collective groan. This was turning into a headache.

"If worst comes to worst, we can leave this place untouched for now," someone proposed. "We've already got more than enough resources. Once we grow stronger, we can return and finish the job."

The group hesitated. It was a sensible option—but also a waste.

Just then, Su Xingyu broke the silence.

"I do have a solution," he said calmly, almost too casually. "But you might not like it."

The others turned to him, caught off guard.

"What kind of solution?"

"I know a spell," he said. "Resurrection of the Dead."

For a moment, no one spoke.

"The effect is exactly what you think," Su Xingyu continued. "I won't use it on my own followers, of course—the backlash wouldn't be worth it. But for monsters like goblins or murlocs, it doesn't matter."

Thanks to Su Xingyu's divine strength, the undead he created weren't fully independent entities. They remained tethered to his divine will, acting more like extensions of his power than separate beings.

With the recent increase in his divinity, the strain of maintaining such a horde had diminished significantly. He could now summon far more undead—certainly enough to mine and tend this entire region.

"If you're willing to accept it," he offered, "I'll raise a batch to get the work done."

Silence fell again.

Not all gods could tolerate the undead. Especially those of light and life—the very existence of such creatures was an affront to their divine principles.

In most cases, their followers would instinctively try to purify any undead they encountered.

Which is why Su Xingyu asked for their consent.

"Uhh…"

Everyone hesitated. Even the boldest among them wasn't sure how to respond.
