For millions of years, humanity has lost its way, lost its rationality, after inhabiting a dismal, placid archipelago of sin. Amid our growing ignorance and arrogance, belies an aberration feeding upon ourselves, hidden by the shadows.
Act 1: The Origination
Multiple citizens around the city of Las Vegas, Nevada have reported seeing clusters of mysterious cult-like apparitions at night, leaving the Mojave desert, always heading towards Floyd Lamb Park and nowhere else.
Following these mysterious cultists is Dr. Simon Halloway, a resident Psychologist from the Valley Hospital Medical Center, well-known for his abilities as a psychologist to find the roots of someone's mental illness such as "The Case of Leah Polà's Sudden Schizophrenic Behaviour" where he expertly traced the roots of what caused Leah Polà's schizophrenia and solved it, marking the first ever solution to schizophrenia ever recorded in world history with no one being able to repeat what the professor did even in modern times.
The said psychologist has traced these cultists from the start in 1997 to his untimely, mysterious passing in 2001
During one of his expeditions to follow these cultists, Simon Halloway picked up a bas-relief during a foggy day of March 2001.
The bas-relief resembled the Egyptian god of the sun, Ra but its mouth stretched to a grotesque grin reaching its empty, hollow eyes staring into the very soul of the person staring into its eyes.
After picking up the bas-relief in 2001, Dr. Simon Halloway continued to investigate more about the situation where he slowly fell into a schizophrenic state, drawing depictions of the figure in the bas-relief that looked like Ra, he also wrote in a mysterious language never known by humanity, and described a cyclopean city, Chu-Hättöth that had never existed in the world as a city in the sky where an old god resided and where the figure in the bas-relief also resides.
As his descent into schizophrenic madness worsened, Dr. Simon Halloway was forced to be strapped to further reduce the chances of harming himself.
Exactly 1:05 am, December 2, 2001, the Dr. was found dead in his room, strangled, his face twisted to what he drew on his journal before and the walls written with the words "It seeks, it feeds on our arrogance" using the professor's blood.
Now in 2015, 14 years after Dr. Simon Halloway's death, hundreds of other investigators, theorists and even scientists had theorized what could have caused his death but, his nephew, Lee Halloway, a private investigator in the Las Vegas police force started to investigate his uncle's mysterious passing after being subject to questions by the media regarding the subject.
The 26 year Lee Halloway regarded highly of his uncle, recognizing his dedication to unveiling whoever or whatever these cults, the bas-relief and the cyclopean city could be.
During one of the investigators' investigations, Lee discovered a small diary containing notes describing a city in the sky that belonged to an old god and its servant.
