The boy replied back," hello Hagrid", the giant man again shouted," first years follow me. Come on ", Ryan followed others walking in the direction the giant guided.
The way is full of mad and slippery soil. He walked carefully and when it's dark he tried to use the spell. First attempt failed and Hermione almost laughed, but Ryan tried it second time and a small flash of light appeared. Hermione also took her wand and cast Lumos not to be undone. Her wand light is bigger than Ryan's.
She looked proud while Ryan shrugged, he can't beat someone who has practice on spells. As they followed the giant some students slipped and fell down on the mud. One almost dragged Ryan down from behind when they fell down. If it isn't a girl Ryan would have hit the person.
But it's a girl and there is nothing he can do. What can he do when this girl cries if he scolds her? He just said," be careful next time ", and gave her a hand to support but the girl swatted his hand away and walked away briskly with a glare at him. She looks cute but has short temper it seems. Ryan followed the giant to the pier carefully and boarded the boat with Hermione, a clumsy looking boy who is crying with his snot out, a girl who with a shy and nervous look. Children. Ryan ignored the three and looked at the rock bridge ahead.
He ducked while Hagrid yelled," get down ", every freshman obeyed him and did the same. As they crossed the bridge Ryan felt a little weird like something just wrapped him or he passed through some kind of curtain or film. The feeling vanished in a couple of seconds though.
As Ryan gazed at the castle, he lamented," would be wonderful if I had a camera ", Hermione also nodded," yeah, the view is very good. Would make a nice picture ", the other two in the boat didn't say anything, just busy seeing the view of Hogwarts castle frok the boat.
Ryan made a mental note to ask Collin later for a photo of the Hogwarts castle next year. As they reached the other end, the boats automatically stopped. Ryan stretched his hands a little and followed Hagrid again. They climbed many big stairs. Ryan felt he is climbing mountains when he saw the large steps leading to the castle, it's like a mountain.
Others also followed Hagrid, the cold wind combined with the large stairs made it hard to climb. As they appeared at the front door of the castle, Hagrid clenched his right fist and knocked on the castle door three times. It opened, Ryan saw a bald man with a cat on his shoulder rotating the handle which held the chain of castle door.
As they entered the castle, the bald man looked at them with a glare. Ryan chose to ignore him, it's better to avoid unnecessary trouble unless you will receive some reward or prize from it. As they moved forward, they're greeted by a stern old man wearing emerald coloured robes and emerald pointy hat.
