Chapter 95 - Chapter 95:

Chapter 95

In the world of Warhammer 40K, how could there be no warriors devoted to close combat?!

Only melee is the truest loyalty!

With every step Godzilla took, his momentum grew heavier. The closer he came, the more Cha-Wrath's crew felt the suffocating pressure radiating from him. Even shielded within the Emperor-class Titan's massive frame, some of the crew involuntarily stopped breathing.

Adrenaline and combat stims were quickly injected, forcing them past the fear.

"Blood for the Blood God!!!"

The Titan raised its enormous assault cannon, a weapon with a barrel nearly thicker than Godzilla's tail. The shells were already loaded. After a brief lock-on, the cannon roared and spat fire.

The round slammed directly into Godzilla's face, detonating in a thunderous blast.

But in the middle of the flames, Godzilla pressed forward without hesitation.

'Still don't get it? Artillery does nothing to me.'

Conventional weapons were useless. Godzilla's hide was far too resistant. Compared to the shock and heat of a point-blank nuclear blast, no shell or cannon could even come close.

Step by step, Godzilla advanced into striking range of the Emperor-class Titan.

"Fire all batteries!" the Titan's captain bellowed.

The Chaos war engine unleashed its arsenal. Cha-Wrath was a walking fortress; its array of weapons could annihilate armies without ever engaging in melee. Yet, among all its firepower, only the massive melta cannon posed any real threat to Godzilla.

The melta, still cooling from its last discharge, began to charge again.

'Trying that again?'

Godzilla couldn't tear down the Titan's command bastion, but he could certainly rip apart its main weapons.

He lunged forward and grabbed hold of the melta cannon mid-charge.

"What—?!"

"No way… he's trying to rip it off?!"

The crew's disbelief was clear. A living monster dismantling a Titan's primary armament—impossible. The cannon was hardwired into the Titan's skeleton, reinforced beyond reason.

Yet under Godzilla's grip, even that hell-forged frame began to groan and twist.

This was no ordinary Titan. It was a Khorne-blessed Emperor-class engine of war—and even it could not outmatch Godzilla's raw strength in close combat.

"Shake him off! Now!"

"We're trying!"

Crew and daemonic machine-spirit fought desperately to hurl Godzilla away, rocking the Titan violently. But Godzilla clung on, immovable, his muscles locking down like iron.

The melta cannon twisted under the struggle, its housing warping until—

Crack.

The weapon snapped in two, the reactor within spilling unstable energy. The result was immediate: a blinding plasma detonation.

Plasma weapons—if they don't explode, that's the real miracle.

The blast shook both combatants backward. Godzilla slid, tail bracing against the ground, while Cha-Wrath staggered, scorched and cracked. The Titan's red armor was ripped open, its right arm mangled beyond use, sparking violently.

"What are you idiots doing?!" Abaddon's furious voice cut through the vox.

"Cha Nuhao is a priceless asset of the Black Legion! Do not let that beast destroy it further!"

If the Emperor Titan fell here, it would be a grievous loss—even if the Titan phalanx had already broken through Cadia's void shield perimeter. The Warmaster could not afford to lose both momentum and his prized war engine.

"The Warmaster commands: disengage from Godzilla!"

But the crew's pain was unbearable. Those linked to the machine-spirit howled as the Titan shuddered with rage.

"I'll kill him! I'll tear off his head and mount it on Cha-Wrath's temple!" one screamed in madness.

Godzilla could hear their roars, the voice of the corrupted machine-spirit echoing inside.

'Why are you calling me grandpa?' he muttered calmly.

He had already confirmed it: in close combat, the Titan couldn't beat him.

Then what was there to fear?

Forward. Smash through. Tear it down.

Blood for the Blood God? No—blood for the King of Monsters!

Godzilla advanced again, while Cha-Wrath, missing an arm, began to retreat. The crew knew the truth: one more crippling blow and their Titan was doomed.

"Target its legs! Stop its advance!"

Batteries turned downward, shelling the ground beneath Godzilla's feet. Explosions erupted, throwing up craters and shaking his stance. Godzilla stumbled briefly, only his massive tail saving him from toppling.

'You're just trying to make me dirty, aren't you?'

Annoyed now, Godzilla steadied himself, then did something the crew did not expect.

He ran.

Godzilla almost never ran—walking was his natural gait. Flying? That was a joke, like the secrets of the First Legion. But Cha-Wrathtactics had pushed him past his patience.

With massive strides, Godzilla sprinted.

"Impossible!"

"How can he move that fast?!"

The Titan crew stared, aghast. For his size, Godzilla's speed was terrifying—almost like the Eldar's elegant engines of war. Cha-Wrath struggled to swivel fast enough to track him.

But Godzilla was already behind him. With a thunderous leap, he slammed into the Titan's back and wrapped both arms around its massive right leg.

'Today, you'll see it. Godzilla toppling an Emperor-class Titan!'
