Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Chapter 21:

In the skies, Godzilla couldn't do much to the Tau cruisers.

But down on the ground? He was a walking apocalypse.

"All units—brace for impact!"

Inside the Protector-class cruiser, crew clung to anything they could grip. The magnetic clamps in their boots activated to maximum. Then—

CRASH.

The ship slammed into the surface.

The jolt sent personnel flying despite their precautions. Magnetic boots or not, several Tau soldiers were hurled from their stations as the ship broke through the canopy and hit the jungle floor with bone-shattering force.

When the dust settled, the interior was wrecked—sparking conduits, broken consoles, half the crew down or incapacitated.

And outside…

"My turn."

Godzilla lumbered forward, claws ready. This wasn't orbital warfare anymore—this was demolition.

No matter how advanced Tau alloys were, they were never designed to withstand a kaiju's wrath at close quarters.

"Unacceptable!"

On another bridge, the Wind Caste commander slammed a fist against her console.

"You're telling me this is how we're losing the fleet? One at a time?!"

Outside, Tau survivors emerged from the smoking wreck, helping each other walk—only to look up and see Godzilla standing right beside them.

They froze.

"We have to stop him! There are still crew inside!"

Fire Warriors opened up with pulse rifles, trying to draw Godzilla away.

It was pathetic.

Their shots bounced off his armored hide like water off obsidian. The crashed cruiser's turrets tried to fire—managing a single volley before losing power.

Godzilla barely flinched.

Then he roared, lunged, and tore into the ship with both hands.

The claws ripped through the battleship's side like a buzzsaw through tin. Metal screamed. Armor buckled.

In mere minutes, he had carved a path through the massive Tau cruiser—ripping it open from bow to stern and emerging from the other side, covered in shredded circuitry and steam.

The wreckage was left scattered through the rainforest, mangled remains of high-tech marvels now reduced to jungle scrap.

"Next ship."

It was a rhythm now.

Godzilla hunted cruisers from below, while the Lizardmen attacked from within—teleporting into engine bays, cracking cores, disabling vessels one by one.

At this pace, the entire Tau fleet would be reduced to rusting monuments within a day.

But Godzilla wasn't satisfied.

It was too slow.

Somehow, Isis sensed it.

From atop her temple, she raised both hands.

"Does my god still find this pace lacking? Then we shall cast off restraint."

Her voice rang like thunder. The earth trembled.

"Ancient priests of the temple—arise! It is time. Enact the will of Godzilla!"

A beam of radiant light erupted skyward from her temple.

Then another.

And another.

Soon, luminous pillars of psychic energy speared the sky from across the planet, linking into a planetary grid—a crude but powerful warp resonance network.

The Tau, unfamiliar with the warp and its laws, could only watch in terror.

Even the Chaos Gods stirred.

This—this—was raw, world-shaking psychic power. Enough to nudge the planet itself through the tides of the Immaterium. A feat even a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch would envy.

Isis's eyes glowed like twin suns. Her gauze-thin robe dissolved into searing light.

She whispered:

"I carry the will of my god."

One of the Tau warships exploded—its engine detonating without warning.

Then another.

And another.

Within seconds, three cruisers lost all propulsion. Systems crashed. Power died.

Chaos erupted on Tau bridges.

"It's—it's psykers," one of the human auxiliaries whispered.

"This is… psychic warfare?"

The Wind Caste commander stood paralyzed.

This was her first time witnessing such an overwhelming display of psychic force. It wasn't just terrifying—it was beautiful in its own alien way.

The sheer output Isis commanded now surpassed even the powers of Magnus the Red, the Primarch of the Thousand Sons.

It rivaled the echoing power of the Eldar gods themselves.

Isis raised her hand—and made a fist.

"All Tau engines: Fall."

One by one, the remaining Tau ships went dark. The engines of even the mighty Guardian-class mothership sputtered and failed.

There was no technobabble explanation.

It was the Warp.

It did not care for the laws of physics.

When reality is violated, assume the Warp is involved.

That's just Warhammer.

Now crippled, the Tau fleet drifted helplessly above the jungle canopy.

On the bridge of the Guardian Mothership, Commander Ether was no longer serene.

He staggered as the deck shook beneath him.

"No… no, this wasn't supposed to happen…"

"Sir! We'll get you to safety—we can still return to the homeworld!"

But they both knew the truth.

There was no going back.

And the Tau weren't the only ones caught in the net.

A sleek black Tormentor-class cruiser shuddered violently as its systems crashed.

"Archon! We are under psychic assault—engine power is collapsing!"

"What?! How did they bypass our shields?!"

The Archon stood, dark armor glinting. Even the famously poised Drukhari looked shaken.

"Damn it! The Haemonculi failed, and now we're falling onto this accursed world?! Ready all troops! We are taking this planet!"

The predators had become prey.

Godzilla saw the ship as it descended—a massive, blade-like silhouette falling against the horizon.

"Oh… black bean sprouts."

In 40K slang, bean sprouts meant Eldar—tall, thin, elegant. Drukhari? Black bean sprouts.

"No way. That's a black bean sprout ship? I want it."

[Want it for what? The ship? Or the bean sprouts on it?]

"Both."

The Drukhari were known across the galaxy not just for cruelty, but for aesthetics. Skin-tight armor, assassin silhouettes, athletic grace. Their look was… popular among certain corners of the fandom.

But let's not get ideas.

No one marries a Drukhari.

They can duel a Space Marine to the death in close quarters. The Wych Cults alone are said to be able to break Astartes necks with their legs.

Even if you did marry one, she'd probably shank you in your sleep just for fun.

"Still… I want one. For the collection."

[Collection? What is this, a beauty pageant? Trying to outdo the King of Figures now?]

Godzilla chuckled.

And the war… continued.
