The people celebrate The Night of Starlight — a festival where families release glowing lanterns into the sky to honor the stars that gave birth to the first Demon Hunter.
…
🌠 Legacy
Solgarde is more than a city — it is a symbol of hope, resilience, and unity.
It stands as proof that even in a world shadowed by demons, humanity can carve out a haven of light and strength.
⚔️ The Demon Hunters of Solgarde
The Demon Hunters are an elite order of warriors, mystics, and guardians born from a celestial miracle that occurred over a century ago — when a comet known as the Falling Star scorched across the night sky. From its cosmic essence, the first human awakened supernatural power and bore the Mark of the Star, becoming the first Demon Hunter.
Today, the Demon Hunters are both protectors and symbols of divine favor — defenders of mankind from demonic corruption.
…
🌟 The Star Marks (Celestial Sigils)
Every true Demon Hunter is a Mark-Bearer. These glowing symbols, called Star Marks, are etched into their skin — usually on the chest, forearm, back, or even over the heart — the placement often influenced by personality or fate.
Each Mark grants supernatural strength and is believed to be connected to a constellation or celestial being. These marks evolve as the hunter grows stronger, glowing brighter or gaining complexity.
…
🧬 Types of Star Marks (Examples)
Each Mark possesses unique affinities and abilities:
🔥 Mark of Vraen (The Phoenix): Grants flame manipulation and resurrection-like endurance. Often borne by fierce, reckless fighters.
🌙 Mark of Lunastra (The Moon Wolf): Boosts speed, senses, and reflexes. Favored by scouts, assassins, and dual-wielders.
🗡️ Mark of Caelum (The Fallen Star): Enhances weapon control and allows for telekinetic strikes. Seen on many swordmasters.
🛡️ Mark of Myrr (The Iron Bear): Increases physical defense and can conjure starlight barriers. Common among guardian-type hunters.
⚡ Mark of Riven (The Thunder Serpent): Channels electricity and lightning-fast movement. Rare and feared on the battlefield.
Etc…
The strongest Demon Hunters often awaken a Second Mark, which fuses or complements the first — a sign of ascension and divine recognition.
…
🏛️ Training and Ranks
Within Solgarde, Demon Hunters undergo decades of training — not only in physical combat but in meditation, astronomy, and ancient rituals tied to their Marks.
Rank Structure:
Initiate – Unawakened trainees studying celestial theory and demon knowledge.
Marked – Official hunters who have awakened a Star Mark.
Ascendant – Those with a fully matured Mark and multiple combat honors.
Lumen – Elite, often captains or mentors; sometimes bear a second Star Mark.
Starforged – Legendary hunters with near-mythical powers. Few exist at a time.
….
👥 Role in Society
Demon Hunters are both warriors and spiritual leaders. They:
Lead missions beyond Solgarde to cleanse demonic threats.
Serve as guardians of outer settlements.
Act as teachers, mentors, and judges within Solgarde.
Are respected by all, though feared by some who see them as otherworldly.
Despite their power, Hunters live among the people, forging bonds with civilians, raising families, and maintaining humility. Their Marks are revered but never used for oppression.

⛪ The Holy Dominion of Velgrace
"To serve the Light is to surrender your will — for only the Divine knows what is pure."
In the lands far from Solgarde lies the Holy Dominion of Velgrace, a monumental cathedral-city where the faithful gather in worship of their one true God, known only as The Divine Radiance.
Where Solgarde trains Demon Hunters empowered by celestial marks and guided by personal purpose, Velgrace trains Priests and Crusaders whose faith is absolute, and whose mission is singular: eradicate all demonic beings as vessels of evil — without hesitation or doubt.
…
🕍 Location and Structure
Velgrace is built atop the Whiteplate Highlands, where the sun strikes the earth with relentless brilliance. Massive marble temples and sky-piercing spires define its landscape, glowing with divine magic.
The city is surrounded by holy wards, and its roads are paved with white stone inscribed with prayers. At its center stands the Sanctum Lumina, the largest cathedral in the known world.
…..
📖 Core Ideology
The Church of Velgrace believes that all demons are embodiments of sin, born from the corruption of the world's original purity.
They preach obedience to the Divine, loyalty to holy scripture, and the pursuit of cleansing the world through fire, blade, and prayer.
Morality here is not gray — it is black and white. Demons are evil. Those who oppose the church are misguided. Doubt is sin.
….
⚔️ Holy Orders of Velgrace
The faithful are trained from childhood into 2 primary paths:
🙏 Order of the Anointed (Priests)
Masters of blessed magic, healing, exorcism, and holy invocation.
Wear ceremonial robes inscribed with divine scripture.
Lead worship, perform blessings, and support crusaders on the field.
Some become Divine Speakers, able to channel glimpses of the Radiance's will.
,,
🛡️ Order of the Crimson Flame (Crusaders)
Elite warrior-monks trained in both martial discipline and fanatical faith.
Wield blessed weapons, burn demons to ash, and fight without hesitation.
Sworn to purge demonic presence, even when mercy tempts the weak-hearted.
Initiation includes a Blood Oath, sealing their soul to the Radiance until death.
….
They also have 2 minor paths:
✝️ Order of the Graced Veil (Clerics)
"To tend the body, soul, and truth — this is our vow."
Supportive holy warriors who blend faith with physical medicine and low-tier combat magic.
Specialize in healing wounds, restoring vitality, and purifying curses.
Serve on battlefields, hospitals, and within the city's sacred sanctuaries.
Known for wearing white battle-robes reinforced with light armor.
Some become Chroniclers, recording divine visions, demon encounters, and holy law.
📜 Order of the Inkhallowed (Scribes & Divine Historians)
"Only by preserving the truth can we silence heresy."
Scholars, archivists, and truth-seekers of the Church.
Responsible for recording scripture, documenting the actions of Apostles, and deciphering divine prophecies.
Can wield blessing-scrolls in battle to seal demonic entities or shield allies.
Trained in ancient languages, divine codes, and forbidden heretical texts (only under supervision).
Wear long gray robes and carry blessed ink-blades, small relics used to etch holy seals into surfaces — or enemies.
,,
👶 Children of the Church
Orphaned, offered, or born into the Church, all children are raised under strict doctrine.
Trained from the age of 6 in scripture, discipline, meditation, and combat.
Taught to never question — only to serve and believe.
Purification Rituals
The Church performs Public Burnings of demon-corrupted beings — not as punishment, but as redemption through flame.
Demonic prisoners (if captured alive) are exorcised or executed depending on their level of corruption.
Even suspected heresy from within is dealt with swiftly, for doubt can spread like a disease.
🏛️ Velgrace vs. Solgarde
While both stand against demons, Solgarde values balance, knowledge, and free will, while Velgrace values obedience, purity, and sacrifice.
The two groups respect each other's strength but are often ideologically at odds.
Solgarde sees demons as complex, sometimes tragic — Velgrace sees them as filth to be purged.
🌞 Symbol of Velgrace
A flaming sun with a single downward-pointing sword — representing judgment from above.
All priests and crusaders wear this insignia over their heart.
The Apostles of the Divine Radiance
"They are not merely blessed — they are touched by the Divine."
In the Holy Dominion of Velgrace, there exist only five beings chosen above all others: the Apostles of the Divine. These individuals are not simply priests or crusaders — they are the living vessels of the Radiance's will on earth. Their word is law. Their presence inspires awe, fear, and unshakable devotion.
They are believed to be chosen at birth through prophetic visions witnessed by the High Clerics. Some show signs early: glowing tears, holy tongues, unburned in flame, walking on water. Others are marked only later — through miraculous feats on the battlefield or divine epiphanies.
🕊️ Role of the Apostles
Lead the armies of Velgrace in holy wars known as Purgations.
Interpret divine messages from the Radiance — their visions are doctrine.
Sit at the Sanctum High Seat, presiding over church law, trials, and strategy.
Cannot be disobeyed without being labeled a heretic.
Believed to be immortal in spirit, though they may die in flesh.

Timeline of Demon Incursions & Mundus's Plans
The First Invasion: The Riftfall Calamity (400 Years Ago)
400 years ago, the Riftfall Calamity occurs — the first large-scale demonic invasion of Earth. This was the result of the rupturing of the Veil between the human world and the demon realm, an event caused by ancient, unsanctioned demon summoning rituals.
Demon Lords and Abyssal Creatures from various realms pour into Earth, leading to widespread chaos, destruction, and the collapse of several kingdoms and societies. However, Mundus, the Demon Emperor, did not personally intervene at this point. He was preoccupied with expanding his empire and consolidating power across other realms, leaving his minions to do the dirty work on Earth.
Early Resistance: In the wake of the invasion, a fragmented resistance of human warriors, mages, and rogue demons who resisted the demon invasion began to form. They created powerful safe havens like Solgarde and Velgrace to hold back the tide of demons.
…..
Mundus's Absence (After the First Invasion — 400 to 500 Years Ago)
For 100 years after the Riftfall Calamity, Mundus does not take a personal interest in Earth's fate. He focuses his attention on consolidating his power in other realms, establishing himself as the supreme ruler of the demon world. He is aware of the chaos caused by his underlings, but he sees the humans' resilience as a mere nuisance, not worth the effort to personally extinguish.
During this period, the demons on Earth are largely disorganized, with many factions fighting amongst themselves. While some demons remain loyal to Mundus, others grow independent, establishing their own territories and power bases. Umbra Hollow, for instance, becomes a haven for exiled demons and warlocks seeking to understand the Abyss and unravel forbidden secrets.
The Rise of Sparda: Around the 500-year mark, Mundus begins to notice that the humans have begun to adapt and even fight back with increasing skill. Earth has become an unpredictable battleground, and the demon on earth begin to threaten his own empire. Mundus sees the need to intervene more directly — but not with an army. Instead, he sends Sparda, a high-ranking warrior in his service, to Earth to finish the job and bring order to the chaos..
